I file this under I don’t give a poo. He’s a football player and his role in my life is to win football games for my favorite team. Within 20 minutes of him retiring I’ll be thinking about the next QB. As long as his personal life doesn’t hurt his play on the field I don’t care.

I didn’t care about the 90’s Cowboys cheating on their wives because they won super bowls. I don’t care about Dak’s personal life at all. If he cheats on his fiancee or his women and he wins in the playoffs then I’m good.

My only issues with Dak is demanding so much money and playing poorly in the playoffs. What he does with his ding dong is very low on my Cowboys priority list.

My overall question is why isn’t every cheating football player getting this much exposure for breaking up with his partner? It’s not like Dak did something no other football players are currently doing. I’d be shocked if 10-15% of the players in the NFL are committed to the girlfriends or wives.

And remember I’m not the biggest Dak fan but when Mike Fisher and other talking heads report on this then I feel it’s getting a little out of hand. JMO

I agree with most of what you posted. I initially felt a little frustrated with the reports on this but Fish made a good point: Dak's lifestyle and image are included in that $60mm. He very publicly courted and dated her and sent out 250 invitations to a destination wedding in Italy - guessing all the homies from the trailer park days are long gone or on the private jet with him. All of this means that he's a public figure and news like this is in-bounds these days and has been since Gary Hart back in the 80s.

Saquon, Jalen and Trevoer are a few high-profile single dudes....so, you can't have an affair if not married. That is a pretty broad brush you paint. I would also argue that AR has never had an affair, as he's far too in love with himself

To me, it's about branding vs behavior. Dak is branded as "faith, family and football". Welp...you can't really spread yourself like Johnny Appleseed and claim your faith and family are important. If you're Joe Namath and openly a player...well...the branding and the behavior match.
