I think all QB's should tell whoever is calling the plays that if the play isn't in when 15 seconds are left on the playclock then don't bother sending one at all because I'm calling it. Too many timeouts and delays get called because of that needlessly.

Actually not true! WE who like the COWBOYS root and cheer for the QB no matter what. Now..many of you Dak haters always find fault in HIM no matter what the Cowboys do. If he has a good game....your response is....it's only one game. Or...the receivers bailed him out. Or...it was the defense. And when he has a bad game.....he's the worst QB in the league. Hilarious, actually. Tells me you have no football sense. And many of you never played organized football in your life.

But....when Rush played decent it was a whole different ballgame. He was the best thing since YOUR Romo and don't get me wrong...I liked Romo. But the reason many of you get this...what you call as Dak lovers, is because what many of you say about Dak doesn't even make sense. It's like you watched football for the first time in your life on some of the comments. But...it's all good because as long as you like the Cowboys, Dak is YOUR and MY QB. Now...as you were!
Not a Dak hater. You are free to think whatever suits you. Have a great day!

Nice to see when plays are played out as intended. He had someone under center that made quick decisions to either run the ball and threw pretty accurate passes. Funny how that works huh?

Yep, McDaniel has played preseason games to win. Our reserves showed out a bit last night. It was good to see. Only negative for me was LB play especially Cox....Harper did well. DT's outside of Mazi didn't show up either.

Was listening to a podcast and didn't realize Washington broke the record for longest preseason winning streak.

The Podcaster said they claimed not to care but kept the starters in way too long, as well as celebrated triumphantly after the win. Lol

Supposedly they haven't lost a preseason game in like 5 years or something. Guess it reflects how worthless those Ws and Ls actually are. I can't stand it when fans try to trash talk me over preseason. It immediately discredits them as to having any kind of clue.

The QB reads the defense after the play has been called and both teams line up pre-snap. Calling plays and reading defenses are totally seperate things.
Play with words...

That is part of calling plays and at the line of scrimmage that directly affects play momentum.

Play with your words with someone else. The ability to call isn't a first thing only aspect...good night. Dak Prescott is now able to initiate complete control at the line of scrimmage and reading the opposing defense is the basis of it all.

Interesting that standing on the sidelines, where he can apparently see the field better, he can call plays yet behind center he reads the defense like Helen Keller.

Perhaps Dak's place is better served on the sideline calling plays.
yet despite all the dumb rhetoric, he was a top 10 QB and top 10 passing in the league. I guess this was hellen keller before she lost her eye sight ;)

Look...don't act like Dak crusaders don't move the bar.
We got Dak crusaders claiming Dak beat goat Brady in the playoffs.
Don't see you objecting to that. So shut your face.

He will never give Prescott for anything positive
While he throws two interceptions on the exact same play? How is that reading the defense? Please... stop that non sense.

He didn't read it the first time....then didn't read the second for the pick six.
Who...has ever done that before?
Nobody.....no one that can read a defense.

I think he proved tonight that he’s more than capable of calling his own plays. I’m not saying all the time. Just when certain situations dictate it. Hurry up offense, 2 minute warning for the first half and 2nd. I think we’ll see more of that this season. All great QB’s have called their own plays during games from time to time. Some more than others. Let him take control when needed.
There’s a big difference between calling your own plays on the sideline (time to start thinking next play before the huddle even breaks and before the play is over) with a play sheet in your hand for all the situations, down and distances, not to mention getting the right personnel on the field for each formation and play. But he can certainly call the hurry up….we have often felt the offense ran better in hurry up mode with Romo and Dak.
