Compared Dak stats to RGIII and Cam
Did not realize how amazing rgIII was.
RGIII and Cam have superior physical attributes.

Dak seems to be superior passer compared to Cam in college.
Did anyone watch their college games?

Stats of their last year in college -
RGIII Big 12 - 6'2" 222lb 4.41sec 291-402 72.4% 4293yd 37 td 6 int 161 rush 699 yd 10td

Cam SEC - 6'5" 245lb 4.59sec 185-280 66.1% 2854yd 30 td 7 int 264 rush 1473yd 20td

Dak SEC - 6'2" 226lb 4.79sec 316-477 66.2% 3793yd 29 td 5 int 160 rush 588yd 10td

Baylor offense.
Look up Texas Tech QBs a few years ago.

RG3 DID have a great college career though. Cannot take that away from the man.

Dak was more like Tim Tebow. Very similar, but they say he has more upside as a passer...thank goodness.
I know he looks better throwing it anyway.

I'm on record as saying that I really like Dak and think he was good value at the end of the 4th. He has that something that people follow and the team always, always played hard for him. That doesn't mean he will succeed at the NFL level, but IMO it gives him a shot.

He is durable and is built very solid. In the OP it lists Griffin's size as 6-2, 222 and Dak's size as 6-2, 226. They are built completely different though. Prescott is much thicker and stronger.

I did watch Dak in college some (live in Mississippi). The main thing that I noticed was his penchant for winning and how he lifted the entire team around him. As I've said many times... MS State won some games that they had no business winning and IMO it was because of Dak.

What they measure at the combine and pro days isn't what Prescott excels at. Where he excels was more on display at the Senior Bowl (MVP).

Just my two cents.

I agree Dak is great value at the end of the 4th and I thought they were going to draft him with 1st 4th pick.
Dak willed the team to victory, hope that translates here.

Really wished they drafted one more QB to increase our chances to getting someone good.

It's easy to see. While Dak doesn't have perfect mechanics, Tebow looked like he still had middle school throwing mechanics. It was that bad.

If Tebow is used in the same sentence comparison you will not make it in this league

Not crazy about our picks round 1, 2 and late 4. Hope I'm wrong but seems like big gambles for a team devoid of talent in certain areas.

Statistics mean nothing when ignoring context.

At Newton's size and speed, he simply didn't need to throw as much. The guy who were strong enough to take him down rarely had the speed to get him. He could seat speedy dbs away like flies.

Also, in Cam you see some really great arm strength.

I like Dak but the numbers don't mean much here

Ezekiel Elliott is a big gamble? With our OL, QB and WR.......

Not gamble per say. We just have bigger needs. In my opinion. But we'll see how it goes. Maybe this coaching staff is going to surprise me and actually use the talent on offense that we have.

You don't draft for need. We need talent, period and they felt Elliott was the most talented player on the board when they were on the clock. One thing Dallas has showed is they are mostly right in the first round. With Claiborne being the only one to not live up to expectations.

Now let's say we took Ramsey at 4 and he turned out like Claiborne then we would have to listen to most of yall complain about not taking Elliot.

Elliott could bust. ...but so could any player that's why you draft best talent available

Drafting is a crapshoot. We shall see.

I agree, that's why people comparing about the draft needs to wait until we play the games. Let's see in a few years from now how these players turn out. To say we gamble or had a terrible draft will not be known right now.

Dak might end up better then every QB in the class, he might be out the league next year. Same with any player in any round

What I want to see from Dak is the ability to stand in the pocket and make the throws. With running QB defense will attempt to contain the QB in the pocket not allowing him to get outside so it becomes important that Dak shows he can hurt you from the pocket as well. If he turns out to be nothing more than a running QB his career will be short lived, I have to say I am intrigued by this pick.

I've been saying the same thing since he was drafted. He may not be NFL ready this season, but given his college level of play, there is definitely room for optimism in the future.

He is more liable to hold the ball too long and get sacked than take off too early.
