Dak comparisons

Some of what he says is legit and some is just silly

I guess this guy doesn't consider the 5 Pro Bowlers he's had on offense to be enough "supporting cast"
:lmao:

That excludes Dez, btw
Zach, Travis, Tyron, Zeke and who? Witten hasnt played at a pro bowl level in 5 years if that's who you are referring to lol

I figured someone would spilt hairs. What I said was simple fact. Look it up

I get your point though...and I do realize some people make the Pro Bowl that shouldn't and vice-versa.
But BOTH Witten (last year) and Dez (the year before) have made the Pro Bowl once while Dak was QB

So if I wanted,,,,I could've said 6 and would still be telling the truth.

Anyway, I think 4 Pro Bowler is pretty insane...let alone the iffy 6.
I wonder if any other QB has 4 on his side of the ball.

And when he had those four pro bowlers, Zeke and Tyron included, Dak has been one of the best QBs in the league which makes it insane that people have such low comparisons for him, right?

On that note, it's beyond frustrsting that our god awful OC/scheme gets our pro bowl RB only two catches a game.

But yeah, I wouldn't use pro bowlers surrounding a player for any argument. Cowboys historically have their players selected to the probowl much more easily. Now those four absolutely deserve to be there within the last two year. Hell if you're gonna use pro bowlers, you have to compare Dak to a QB who made the pro bowl in their rookie season. I'll give everyone a hint, there havent been many.

Yeah...

Vince Young
RG3

Andy Dalton
Jameis Winston

I'm real hopeful that Dak will have great season.
Can't wait
He's very easy to pull for

Vince Young.

Lol funny

But honestly if Dak had a little Vince in em we may have won more games last year. Vince was a run first QB. Dak needs a sign from God to run the ball when there is an open lane.

Not to be lazy and compare him to another black QB, but Dak has always reminded me of taller Russell Wilson a couple of years ago imo. I have seen Wilson have the same looking bad games Dak had in his 2nd season and win games miraculously at the end. The only deference between the two was one had one of the greatest defenses of this era.

What QB do you think Dak is Dak most similar to currently playing in the NFL? He seems a lot like Tyrod Taylor to me in terms of his play. Not a ton of yards. Good TD to int ratio. Maybe slightly less athletic than Taylor. Slightly better decision making skills than tyrod.

Some may say Alex Smith, which I could also see, but Alex Smith is probably sees the field better and is probably currently a better QB overall than Dak.

What were Alex Smith's contract numbers? That's probably in the neighborhood of what Dak will get. Tyrod is probably a bargain and Smith is probably overpaid. I would rather see Dak's contract numbers fall between the two.

First off, two years into their respective careers Dak is light years ahead of where Smith and Taylor were at the same point of their careers. That said, their career numbers:

Taylor - 51 TDs, 18 INTs, 91.2 rating
Smith - 183 TDs, 96 INTs, 87.4 rating
Dak - 45 TDs, 17 INTs, 95.5 rating

For reasons only they understand, we have fans who measure Dak based on what Romo was after a decade as a starting QB. We see the same thing here.

What Dak has done in two years, starting from the first game of his rookie year, is greatly underappreciated. People who have already decided he's not good enough would've tossed aside a lot of NFL QBs early on who went on to have very productive careers. Instead of being excited about what the Cowboys found in the 4th round, they're mad that he's not a future hall of famer (or something close to it) after two years in the NFL.

He reminds me of Colin Kaepernick.

Because he's black and athletic? Statistically, Dak is better than Kaepernick in every measure as a passer, but I'll give Colin the edge as a runner.
