If he ran at least 4 times and maybe averaged like 35 yards on the ground.
Like I get it, I don't expect every QB to be Rodgers or Brady, but Dak is an okay passer but he seems so hesitant to run and either he's scared to get hit or we don't call many running plays.
Dak is 6'2 and about 235. If he has trouble passing they need to run him more, I really don't get having a QB with Earl Campbell legs hardly taking off.

I'm a fan of this team, and I understand the limits of Dak, so why not have him run it more? This would also help him in the passing game as well. I'd totally accept dak Throwing for about 200 yards a game if he also added another 40 or 50 in the rushing game.

Thoughts?

The thing is, he used his legs very effectively in his rookie year. That’s what makes it even more puzzling.
I have to think, logically that he may be afraid of getting hit or doesn't like it too much.
There's no way that the coaches are telling him to keep every read option.

Im all in favor of using more RPO for Dak. He did that pretty much. The offense seems that it just doesn't fit him.

It's obvious that any gameplan should include using his legs whether it is roll-outs, RPO, whatever. Linehan/Garrett won't have any of that though.........stick to the mundane script!

We're all over the place. Goff is no great QB and look at how easy that plan was for him to handle. Run a few sweeps, feed the beast, or play action pass. Mostly from that 11 formation. Simple yet the Raiders don't know whether it's pass or run. We go out there on first down with Dak under center and the entire stadium knows it's a run play. Zeke gets stuffed for no gain and Dak is in shotgun with 4 or 5 wide the next play and Dak running for his life. It doesn't get anymore predictable and we're not winning if Dallas continues this pattern.

No need to preach to me, right there with ya

I do need to add.....Dak is no Goff though.......

I mean that's what I jumped to immediately too, but I mean even in instances when he's got day light ahead of him with an easy first down and sliding opportunity he seems hesitant. Think he's just fried in the brain. Football version of the yips

If he ran at least 4 times and maybe averaged like 35 yards on the ground.

Last year it was 3.6 attempts, 22 yards a game, up 5 yards a game from 2016.

As for hesitant to run, he's hesitant about most everything right now.

I'm sure glad we've got Kellen Moore to teach him up!

…..Zeke is ran into the ground......soon followed by injury.

If another QB relieved him at half time and also threw for 200yds.

My thoughts are we need a QB of the future. Why would you be content with an "okay" passer?

If you want to be the Bengals fine, rally around Dak Prescott. But if you want the team to return to it's glory days this QB has to go. We already have a serious handicap with the front office. To go into every season with a QB disadvantage too makes it near impossible to compete.

my main issue is our qb is regressing from his first year. granted that first year was record setting, but even in that run, his accuracy was not where it needs to be overall. he just got lucky no one was there to intercept him. that all changed in year 2. going into year 3 he still looks indecisive and just as inaccurate. i don't see anything any better on the bench in rush so to me, we're just heading into the drew henson quincy carter years where we hope the next guy can do it but i certainly don't even see a bus driver in dak.

It’s a no brainer, dude needs to take off and pick up the first down, keep the chains moving..

I was watching the Miami v Titans game and the Titans use the RPO a bit. It does lead to your QB taking more hits and unfortunately for Marcus Mariota got his passing hand hit hard by Hayes(DE) and that was it for his day.
Guess what I'm saying is I don't mind the RPO, but the awkward hit from a defender could lead to an injury.
As defenders are allowed to whack a QB in that instance cause they are mimicking a runner.

Im fine with throwing for few than 200 yards if:

- He is completing 65% of his passes

- Is not turning the ball over

- The down field pass is respected.

If he have Elliott and can get effective running out of Smith in relief, 350-400 yards are well within grasp if Prescot is below 200 yards passing. If we hit that yardage total and Dak checks the three boxes I laid out, we win ball games

There is no doubt that would be a good idea. About 5 times per game would be sufficient.
