Dak looks better already.

There's a reason the Commanders won't give him a long-term deal. They'd trade Cousins straight up for Dak in a nanosecond.

Dak is much more composed than Kirk..he also has a much higher ceiling..but Dak did not outperform Kirk in week 1...neither QB was good..cousins was better

You are playing checkers my friend..find a new hobby

Maybe give connect 4 a shot

Answer the question how many drops did cousins have???? How many dropped tds?? Exactly my point. No one thinks cousins looked better than dak. Even Commander fans will tell you that. Cousins was inaccurate as hell

What the heck are you talking about inaccurate

Dak had a ton of horrible throws

He also had a crappy completion % and a horrific ypa

Cousins also sucked...but he sucked less than Dak

Dak had some inaccurate moments. BUT HE ALSO HAD DROPPED PASSES did you not see the dropped tds? Lol Jesus. Cousins also turned the ball over TWICE. My god

Dez drop was a difficult catch..by no means is that a drop in any world

The ball to Beasley you can label a drop and that wasn't even an accurate pass

Dak misfired a ton on Sunday

Don't agree.

Dak threw two touchdown passes that were dropped. He was moving the team late.

For a rookie in his first start, Dak was brilliant.

My bad sorry it wasn't 100% accurate on the Beasley td not like he had to fully extend.. dez had two hands on it caught it and couldn't control it. That's on him. He's getting paid top dollar and he can't catch that? Sterling Shepard had no problem catching his td and brown had is darn arm in-between his hands

There you go! Nobody's going to question your loyalty.

I'm honestly not going to compare quarterbacks. It's a waste of time. Expecting DAK to all the sudden be something he's not is setting yourself up for disappointment. I hope Mr. Prescott can be as good if not better than Kirk Cousins someday.

I don't think Dak is better than Cousins at this moment. Dak doesn't have the experience. I mean, who would you rather have in a road game in December?

The problem with Cousins is that those semi-difficult throws he's pretty terrible at. His performance under pressure metric from FootballOutsiders.com was abysmal last season. Fortunately, Jay Gruden is a pretty good WCO coach who knows how to design plays to get guys open and Cousins has the footwork for the WCO and ability to find those wide open guys (harder to do that given credit for). I think that's why the Skins were averse to re-signing him to a big deal. They know his limitations.

I generally think that Dak is more accurate of a passer right now than Cousins and has the potential to be an extremely accurate passer. But I think there's too little experience and we don't have the coaching staff that can emphasize the team's strengths and take the focus off their weaknesses.

Cousins played well last year. This is only one game let's not get crazy.

Dak didn't even play better than Wentz.

What did Wentz do better? I watched both games. Neither team asked either to do much their first start. Wentz had 2 TDs but Dak had 3 of them dropped. Both had issues with accuracy at times.

Except Wentz played arguably the worst team in the NFL and Dak played the Giants. I think they were equal.

I think the book on Cousins is if you get very good pressure on him, he is a completely different QB. Most QB's are, but he has proven to be worse than most. If he doesn't have pressure and he can dink and dunk you, he proved he can be very effective.

I don't think he has beaten a team with a .500 record or above in his career. He had a very good two month run last year but before that he was very average. I think the Commanders front office are not sold on him as this is why they want him to prove he is the QB he showed over the last two months last year. I think that is a good move by their front office.
The book on Cousins is to zone him to death. He's like a deer in the headlights against a strong zone defense.

Interesting. Maybe you are right. I think it begins and ends with pressure. Maybe a zone defense behind that works. I just think without pressure, he has receivers who will get open. Reed, Crowder, Garcon are all good at the short/intermediate routes. I think running back may have been a mistake on their part this offseason. I had high hopes that Matt Jones looked the part. Maybe he turns into that back but if not, there is not much behind him. If they cannot run the ball, I think will be a big factor with Cousins.

There pass protection was good. But they just can't open up those running lanes. Jones will be nothing more then a change of pace back

That too. If we stop the run & zone him to death, there will be turnovers. Guaranteed.

Stopping the run is quite a lot to ask though after that pisses poor display of Running with the Bulls on Sunday.
