he could have "put the game away" by hitting Ferguson wide open on the seam or Pollard wide open in the end zone
OL needs some work, under duress majority of the game and running game was stuffed all night. That's a big problem.

Dak was ok? This was by far his best game of the season... There is no hope for some of these fans.
Yep, he was able to keep downs alive, and at times there was some pocket awareness.

Isnt the fact the Chargers put pressure give the gaps in the secondary, particularly in front of the two-high Safeties? It's ok having pressure, a Defense will always focus on something....it's how you identify and counter it that matters. I'm happy with Dak getting pressure so long as he's aware enough to predict where its coming from and where the holes will be behind it (last night, even though sacked a number of times, he did some good work on the move and scrambling).

He failed on the throw to Pollard, then settled for a fg like this offense always does. Defense stopped the chargers who had over 2 minutes.

So yes the defense won the game.
Who failed on the dart to Gallup?

Players aren’t perfect. Even the greats need help. Mahomes looks pedestrian right now because he has no WRs not named Kelce. But because Mahomes is great he makes enough plays when he has to (the refs can be left out of this convo) to win games.

I don’t care if the QB is perfect. I care if he makes 1-3 big plays in a game that lead a team to a win, and not give the game away. Dak missed some wide open throws last night, so did Herbert. It happens. Dak is also one of the most inconsistent QBs I’ve ever seen week to week so I am happy we have a bye coming up.

My biggest takeaway from last night is. 1. Kellen Moore hasn’t learned anything and is just as arrogant as when he packed his bags. (Remember when he was going to take the league by storm because has an all world QB to run his offense now)? And 2. This run game is broken. They need to bring in a consultant or someone to throw out every single run up the gut play and install some misdirection and counter play. Pollard isn’t a run up the middle times a game back. You want that? Trade for Henry

I saw a quick "clock" he was under tonight in the pocket, and I was yelling "Look out!" constantly from the mancave......so many timing routes are hampered if there isn't quick separation (Gallup routes are concerning).
I saw TEs missing blocks all night in the run game. Center was bashed. 4th & 1 in the redzone was embarrassing (no push of any kind). I thought Dak played well under constant duress. Still not sold on the WR routes or the WR packages. We miss Amari.

But that's football and it's like picking your poison. A Defense will try and target a weakness, it's how you cope with it that matters, if they think they can get pressure then it's probably preferable to teams sat in coverage.

It's how good Offenses look at our pass-rush obsessed Defense (which looked good last night as we didnt sell out to the big play in the backfield).

It's better to give the poison than pick the poison.

He was ok. He had some nice throws and missed some wide open easy TDs but he did what he had to do get the win.

Defense deserves most of the credit IMHO.

Well yea, but no game is perfect. A team's going to face pressure/problems, it's how you overcome it that matters. The 9ers game we expected the poison to be 2-man coverage, 4 man rush and set up accordingly, we got pressed and couldnt administer the antidote.

Dak certainly outplayed Herbert but more importantly he didn’t give the ball away. He had an 18 yard TD on the type of scramble we have t seen in years.

Listen the offense is not a juggernaut (run game weak, OL suspect, QB we know) but generally games like this where the team gets pressure on Dak means no offense but Dak scrambled and kept his head up and made plays which I have been screaming for at least for the last 4-5 years. Kudos to him, let’s see if he can keep it up.

For the record I am not drinking the kool aid and still think he disappears when the stakes are on the line.

Dak played good for him. Used his legs, didn’t throw any picks. He missed two wide open throws which he didn’t see and didn’t try to throw to which is concerning without much pressure, but he also threw a perfect 40 yd pass to Gallup in stride which he dropped due to a non-called hold on the defender which was pointed out by Troy.

Also, it’s not Dak vs. Herbert. It’s Dak (and the rest of the O) vs the LA defense, and vice versa.
