Herbert got outplayed by Dak
Yeah, but we have to account for the tough pass defense he face last night….grade it on the curveDak was okay - don’t paint him as heroic. He did just enough to win.
The suns glare was facing him when they switched sides of the fieldhe could have "put the game away" by hitting Ferguson wide open on the seam or Pollard wide open in the end zone
He's just mad that his Eagles lost...You are such a loser
Bland should have had 2 interceptions. Both right in his hands but the guy is pretty darn good. I guess that's why he is not a receiver.Or if bland catches that gimme int on third down before the punt return debacle. The ball just didn't bounce our way a lot tonight.....until the very end!
And he was getting the ball down the field instead of just dumping it off in the flat.Dak certainly outplayed Herbert but more importantly he didn’t give the ball away. He had an 18 yard TD on the type of scramble we have t seen in years.
That’s a function of pocket protection. The chargers were geared to stop the run and they did. They need a healthy Bosa. After that first drive , Dak had a lot of clean pockets. And he was getting the ball down the field instead of just dumping it off in the flat.
Because we are holding current Era QBs to a standard of past years. This generation of parity and free agency doesn't facilitate the Consistency in play you'd expect...Purdy can look like a young Steve Young, lose 2 pieces and regresses to Mr. Irrelevant. Prescott's inconsistency in reflected amongst all the top QBs.Props to Dak for his game, he was pressured on nearly every pass play, many times the defender blew right up the middle unimpeded. That td throw to Cooks was perfect and done when Dak was backpedaling with yet another rusher coming right at him.
Question is, why can't he do that kind of plays more often?
It's a win, I'll take it...
MM has to open up some. Playing for the FG with 40 sec and 2 TO at the half was just badHis defense balled out too. I agree though Daks improvising saved the day. No thanks to MMs scheme.
I got really frustrated with the same run plays over and over. Sometimes you need to run outside.I didn’t care for some of the playcalling. I would have used the TE more, and what’s up with running Pollard between the tackles for 2 yards so much? He’s not that kind of RB! Use Dowdle and Luepke! Also, the OL was crap—couldn’t pass protect OR run block. And that :08 to :03 right before half? What was THAT?
Defense was good, except for the penalties, and Dak, Lamb and Cooks showed up.
We beat a good team on the road.

But now it’s a week of “Chargers suck, Cowboys will not make playoffs, or lose in the first round!”I didn’t care for some of the playcalling. he literally did carry the team... yes it was help with the defense etcetera... he literally was the leading passer and rusher for both teams.. facts that is carrying a team..no run game piss poor OL play questionable play calls Gallups like umm ??? flags all over.. ST gaff..Dak was the reason we won in case we are keeping score.Gallup not caught TD right on his breadbasket. Took away 7 points.
Special teams play (altho I don't blame it on Tolbert... no way he could know whether Turpin touched it or not. It's just a bad rule.)
All he does is go 55 yards with key 3rd and long conversions to put this game away. That never even needed to happen if Gallup makes that play, or that unfortunate special teams play doesn't happen.
yeah that's a lot of other discussions on why he might need to give up play calling... or change the way he uses the playbook and game plans..Especially when the qb was playing pretty well.
We gotta stop giving big contract to injured guys. We did it with Pollard and Steele and Gallup. It’s just dumb. It’s a shame these guys got injured in critical contract years but you can’t pay them like the injuries never happened and won’t impact their future play. The Gallup signing and Cooper trade is head and shoulders the worst FO move in recent history. Gallup is washed and now he basically can't catch either which was what he was known for (tip toe catches). Smh.
Refs helped on that 3rd and long, MM is atrocious and the D played well enough to cover for a O that is poor. Clock management is poor, Dak played well enough to win against a not so good Defense and Overall the performance was average.Gallup not caught TD right on his breadbasket. Took away 7 points.
