As you see, the winner doesn’t even need to have been injured. Maybe he sucked last year or wasn’t in the league, but it’s about the perseverance in overcoming adversity. Dak’s injury and subsequent required second surgery, along with the documented work he put in to get back for game one is pretty amazing, whether he has become your whipping boy or not.

That being said, I give it to Dak for overcoming that injury and play his best football game ever in his first game back with little practice time in per season .. he does deserve the award.

Yeah Burrow is a top 5 quarterback. Dak has a top 3 salary. Cincinnati offensive line is brutally bad. I will say this Burrow was the first pick n the draft for a good reason.
