Dak’s mechanics have been off at times, as well as his ability to read the defense quickly and deliver the ball on time and on location.

His footwork deteriorates, he forces throws, and in short— tries to do too damn much

Dak deserves the criticism because he's throwing picks every game. Yes, the media is gonna hype it up for clicks. We can go Round n Round about the same stuff...this was going on last season too.

Kellen needs to stick to running the ball or Mike needs to call them. Too much passing is the reason for Dak's struggle imo opinion. KM needs to run to set things up, and accept the limitations of his QB. Cowboys have an awesome run game, yet the FO is obsessed with finding WRs...that tells you all you need to know.

As he should. The guy is talented and can do things only 10-15 people can do better right now, but that doesn't mean he can't do better. Sometimes it just looks like he's very anxious and that's when he plays crappy. It's not all him though. At least half of those interceptions were because a receiver messed up a route or something else.

He sucks! No other QB has gone through a spell like this....cut him and Zeke, eat their salaries and start another 5 year plan....Raise your hand if this is what you want....
For the $ paid what have they done?
1 playoff win is their claim to fame!

I’m curious to hear your opinion of where you are with Dak?

His cost jumps up dramatically and it’s time to decide whether to continue down that road or to start looking for an alternative.

I’m wondering where your mind is with that as of today?

I will preface my response with saying that the rest of this season will likely impact how I feel.

However, at this point dak is a fringe top 10 qb and even with his accelerated contract, assuming more qbs get their deals as well, then he will be paid at about where he grades our performance wise. I am on the side of not having a big issue with his contract value based on comparable compensation to other qbs.

My biggest worry with Dak is that he is just not a "gamer" and is always going to be good for regular seasons wins to keep us competitive but without luck and everything going right might not get us over the hump.

He seems to play better when he's not holding back or playing not to lose, see the Houston game, but how do you translate that to consistency.

I know...long answer...but to your question I'm good staying the course with Dak but this team needs to invest a high pick (round 2 or 3) into a high potential development qb and prepare for dak to not live up to expectations.

What about you stash?

I dont think coming out slinging trying to prove doubters wrong is best tactic.

I meant no offense.
Oh I never said he has to come out swinging boss, just that he locks in when doubted in the past. Definitely doesn’t need to do more than what’s needed, just needs to be more locked in.

I am not sure Ive read any better Dak flaws summaries than this 2 sentence masterpiece.

INT's will happen, the thing that drives me nuts is him pushing off that repaired ankle and the ball sails over someone's head or short hops to them. the 2nd thing is him missing open WR by locking in on a side of the field or a player and that may be how the play is designed or its just him i dont know. but that drives me crazy too.
He had the same issues long before the ankle injury.

Just goes to show the pressure doesn’t matter to him

It’s just about any quarterback in the league, it doesn’t have time to set and throw because his pressured. What do you think it’s something new

I’m giving him the rest of this season to change my mind, but if I had to make a decision today based on contract vs performance?

I’m starting to look into other options.
