For the $ paid what have they done?
1 playoff win is their claim to fame!
So, it's the money....you would be ok with his play if he was still on his rookie contract? Figures, envy is one of the deadly sins.

Oh whats better is he said that Romo got paid and deserved it (with no playoff wins) but Dak didnt deserve his because (he hadnt won in the playoffs) its actually funny considering Dak had already won a playoff game when he got paid and Romo hadnt.

I always feel like he plays better when he’s doubted. The Giants game in 2017 when Landon Collins called him out and he immediately hit a deep strike to Tavon Austin comes to mind.

Let’s see if he still operates that way.
He's been publicly doubted for years.

I’m giving him the rest of this season to change my mind, but if I had to make a decision today based on contract vs performance?

I’m starting to look into other options.

Yeah...unfortunately this is probably his last chance for many of us that have supported him.

He has the complete team and the landscape is perfect...anything less than an NFCC appearance and I'm afraid the wheels need to be set in motion.

Question is....what's the plan? Draft someone late first or 2nd round? FA? Stop gap for a year or two?

Dak was at his best when he rolled out and moved him out of the pocket and was a treat to run. What ever happened to that Dak? I think we all agree that KM play calling has not helped Dak succeed.

Well it's going to happen when you play for the Dallas Cowboys and happen to be one of the highest paid in your position. Comes with the territory.

After Dak it will be next man up to be bashed on most by the click bait talking heads

My ‘plan’ would probably include both. A journeyman like Mariota maybe and also a draft pick. Trouble is that any such move shows your intentions and you have to deal with the repercussions, privately with the player and publicly with the media and fan base.

Dak deserves criticism when he doesn't play well, BUT

He did lead the game winning drive, and it's almost like none of the critics care.

Atlanta did a great job making Mariota viable this year. Seattle has done really well with Geno too.

Mariota? Come on Stash. The guy just walked away from his team. One thing Dak isnt, is a quitter.

Thats beside the point. The fact of the matter is. This FO going in a new direction first needs them to admit they made a mistake. Do you think that is happening? I dont. We are stuck with Dak regardless of the outcome of this season (which I dont agree with) and unfortunately they will probably extend his contract next season instead of eating the 49 million against the cap.

I agree. I think there are always reclamation projects out there if you know where to look. As long as the guy has some talent and is willing to do the work.

I worry how dak would take it...he showed some immaturity at the end of last season that I did not expect...regardless they need to have a solid succession plan and be deliberate

I did say ‘like Mariota’. Maybe not him specifically but a reclamation project like him. Gene Smith was brought up as another good example.

Likely so. They’d rather double down than admit a mistake. I’m just saying what I would do.

its one thing when fans see it and another when outsiders see it. Dak will be the downfall of this team in the playoffs.

Still cant get over the game winning drive by Dak to ruin your Sunday eh? :lmao2::lmao2::lmao::lmao:

I guess the pain wont go away until we lose again?

I think he’d have to take it any way the team decided. He could try to demand a trade and good luck with that.

Geno Smith may make more than Dak this offseason lol. Yeah I said it.

And that is fair. I know what I would do too. I would be making a play for Drake Maye. Start trading pieces for picks and tank next season. If Dak and the team crap the bed this year its time to start looking at other options. And Maye is THE option IMO.
