That was cleared up. Just reading the article that you just linked, it's obvious that he was not saying he wasn't working hard.
Staubach, Brady, Elway, Aikman, Mahomes, Rodgers, and everybody that ever played, were not as obsessed as Manning.
That was the bar of all bars to shoot for.

it was about command of the offense. Romo had voiced his frustration with game plans and not having particular plays to beat specific defenses. It was a behind the scene thing because Romo never then nor now has said a bad word about anyone.

This was a reward to Romo, you earned this go run the offense. Its also why garrett had no problem in the loss in 13 to the packers saying he called a running play and romo changed it, he was sending a message to Romo and Jerry and proving again why Romo was elevated command wise.

Does Romo still have his backyard football field?

geez. You are way smarter than this.

The comment was about Romo taking over and running the offense. It was his, he put in which plays he wanted and had the freedom to go to them.

You are confusing "Command and Control" with effort and attitude.

This responsibility being given to Romo was a reward if you will for his time dedicated, he was now being trusted at all times to be the guy in charge and to do what he thought was best at the line of scrimmage because of his intelligence.

His intelligence has shined as a broadcast and was praised by players he played with.
Mmm hmm.

We can go at this all day.

Sadly the result will be similar to last season.

Our corners will be **** next season. They will get burned on countless occasions. We couldn't afford to keep our All Pro corner because the front office decided to pay Blake Bortles 2.0 over $30 million next season. The upgrade at safety is negligible. Yes Haha will get his interceptions but watch out for those blown coverages - why do you think teams have let him go...

Yet Blake Bortles 2.0 will still be able to massage his stats accordingly because the offense is beyond loaded. Brian Hoyer would win us at least 6-7 games at QB behind this offense next season.

And the Prescott fans will claim that he did his job and just blame the defense...what do you expect when the front office blow countless first round picks on the offense to carry Blake Bortles 2.0!?

It's going to be very tiresome (again).
Why not go find another team to root for since this one is making you so miserable to the point you are projecting failure?

Can't a guy have a blonde moment?

I know, another Prescott thread (and I apologize if this was posted already, but I did not see on the first 2 pages):

So ..... at least we know why he wanted such a big contract (Just kidding guys, pitchforks down)

Last two offseasons Dak has shown a real commitment to improving himself. He's taking care of business.

These guys play football for a living. All of them should be investing a good chunk of their income into training facilities.

Exactly.
People were 180 degrees off on this...just had it completely backwards.
It was cleared up, but some always chose to see it a certain way.

Sad is perfect.

Somehow the Eye test makes Presocott into Blake Bottles....

Of course factually your opinion is stupid because statically Blake is not and has never been on Dak's level collegiately or Professionally.

Sadly, you aren't the only one making excuses incase Dak does succeed...

Why are you Cowboy fan again? So Sad

They want a prove it year out of him ... but you have to see that Andy is a different back up than Rush .. the cowboys didn’t just sign Andy t
He has performed way above his predecessor thus far and Gil Brandt was absolutely correct in his top 4 assessment of Dak Prescott on the All Time Cowboys QB list.

no he has not performed way above Romo . Both have good stats behind elite OL/WR . Dak probably has better RB play . But no significant playoff wins .
In fact romo had probably more games where he lead the team back and clinched wins . in Dak’s case , it is mostly garbage time yards and no comeback I can recall when the running game stalls and the team needs him .
Dak is a tier 2 QB , and that is not my opinion alone . Players and experts rank him between 10-15 .[/QUOTE]
I don’t buy that the never intended to get Dak on a long term contract so it’s only a “prove it year” because that didn’t happen. Even so, they aren’t paying him almost $32 million to Boyle give him every chance to “prove it”. Yes, Dalton is a different level QB than Rush, but that doesn’t mean he was bright in to compete with Dak. Circumstances just allowed a strong backup at a good price

You dont need to tell us romo only had 1 friend on the team we know this.
Like Dak and Zeke

No, seriously...Romo had plenty of friends on the team, and especially the basketball guys.
I’m sure its not as many as Dak, but this isn't prom.

But its true that he hung with the guys that didn't go out and and party hard as often.
Obviously Witten, Murray, Church, but a few others too. Its not high school. These are grown men. And more often than not—look around the league—the QBs don't spend as much time with a ton of guys from rest of team outside of football.
Very few do. And even fewer of the great ones. Look back thru history

It would be nice to see pics of the field. (Debbie Downer here). Lol

He got fancy. It's an indoor stadium.

I would guess the size of a standard football field. I'm sure it wasn't cheap, but it's just the field, not a stadium, so well within the budget of a guy making almost $32 million this season.

As far as it being just a field it looks like a professional football field. It likely has a drainage and irrigation system. Constructed to be a level playing field. There will be a cost of maintaining it year round.

I also think this may be a backyard statement that Dak isn't going anywhere after this season. His commitment to get better and come out of the gates offensively despite this pandemic laden season is highly commendable.

He bought a house in a modest neighborhood honestly after the 07 extension. I believe he bought that house in 08 or 09.

He didn't live like a king which Dak appears to already be doing until 2014 when he built the house he lives in today with his wife.

Honestly I don't get worked up over who is living larger, Dak or Tony, while quarterbacking for the Cowboys.
