I think it was fair……for the first 3 seasons. The people who dislike Romos tendencies loved that Dak didn’t have them……until he did
the first 3 seasons the 2 best things a lot of us like in Dak was that he protected the ball ( even though he led the league in fumbles in 2018) and that he didn’t miss any games….his best ability was availability.
after that he became often injured, led the league 2 different years in fumbles and then led the league in INts last year despite missing 5 games
these are the facts and the sad part is that we are stuck with his fat contract for years,
as far as Romo being ‘ beloved”……you must be ignoring alot of the images posted here of him flubbing the snap against the Seahawks, of him being injured, and a ton of posts criticizing him
I have posted some of those images regarding Tony Romo.....followed by the standards "he carried the team", "he didn't have a Top 10 defense", "He was under JG", "He is a HOFer", etc.etc. etc. Post something disparaging (but factual) about Tony Romo .....see the responses.
I'm simply suggesting we give Dak a chance to correct the interceptions. As for the fumbles.....doesn't that have some association with OL play too?
Remember Zeke fumble year (from effort and carelessness too).....it got corrected.
Perhaps it has happened.....but an OC has a responsibility to correct something about ints too. Just want to see if that materializes on the field or not. OC don't get to walk away from this. Question: Why wouldn't KMoore or Nussmeier go in the press box....get to see coverages better and adjust plays and routes that don't seem to be working for Dak right now? Got all off-season to get this right......or else.
As for Dak injuries (leg.....resulting from effort, inability to go down, and unfortunate tackle). (thumb.....pass protection broke down, it happens.) - Contract is concerning. (Hmmm)
Romo injuries (OL broke down on most of them). Final injury (out of the pocket and an unfortunate tackle finished him off) - Contract never concerning. (Hmmm)
