The O-line isn't good, but a QB can make them look worse by holding the ball too long, no accuracy and no pocket awareness. A good QB can make a bad O-line look better.
You are clueless.

If the OLine can't block and the receivers can't create separation, it does not matter who your QB is.

All I know is the line better be bad for Cooper Rush too.

Because if it's not, then oh boy.
Next game will indeed (for a change) tell us something new.

This has taken a weird turn over the last couple of games. The Daksters are back in full force with the excuses for Dak. I didn't think it would happen that fast.

Now I'm not with the "Rush is better than Dak" crowd, to be honest that's a ludicrous statement. Yet he has proven, that he can rally the troops around him and win. Interestingly enough his only loss as a starter came against our next opponent. Weird how fate works sometimes. I hope he can get some revenge on them and the team will play it's heart out for him.

Not saying there aren't issues on the line ... but every QB has to deal with line issues. I can't think of a single OL this year that is solid across the board.

Lot of other QB's compensate rather than compound the issue.
A poor OLine with poor receiver separation and zero run game is not a QB problem.

Wake up.

Wake up. The QB inherits all the problems of the team. No one is saying the QB can always overcome them but most QB's do things to help cover the weaknesses.

It's just that you defend Dak with the passion of a lover, despite the history he has shown in costing the Cowboys games. You bring that on yourself.
You know the difference, and I admit the game was in garbage time by the time the Cowboys scored.
But if CeeDee Lamb hadn't dropped the first touchdown pass, it would have been a different game.
Still, Rush produced while the game was still in contention, almost getting the score.
That's a fact.
I defend everyone I'm a Cowboy fan. Like I said if you can't discuss or debate without bringing up these weird homoerotic fantasies you have then there's nothing we can talk about man. I don't do the back and forth on that. If you're upset that someone called you out on your contradictions than that's on you.

You are clueless. There are plenty of times Dak doesn't see open receivers, throws into double coverage, throws into the ground and over their heads.

Baker, Lamar, Kyler, Aaron, Herbert, Josh.
Baker....Lord have mercy
Kyler....running for his life
Aaron....old, and not with our OL
Herbert.....no, more than an ankle would be bothering him
Josh Allen....would be hurt/banged up

Most important....at best.....Wins from Josh Allen (only) in your group: Cleveland, NYG, Pitt and toss in SF and an extra with Atlanta: conceding 5-4....with Philly (on the road), Houston and Commanders on the way. My take;

Aaron's line has been worse than ours. Yet even at his age, he understands the game so well he anticipates where the pressure will come from and is immediately maneuvering to give himself the most time. Of course he has the talent to make the passes with just a flick of the wrist. Or the savy to run a screen to slow down the rush. Just some of the things other QB's do to help their OL and their playmakers.

Forgot Lamar....I'll go 5-4 like Josh, with our line, at best.
You asked me for examples of QB's who do things to overcome weaknesses in their team. It would be much simpler to name the ones who don't.

The oline sucks. Even Martin is having a terrible year.

Cooper Beebee? Thought he was supposed to be a plug and play 3rd rounder. Nope he's been average at best.

Steele? The weakest link by far.

The oline sucks big time.
The O-Line has struggled big time, but Rush came in and was able to get off some very nice passes, whereas Prescott struggled with 2 - 5 yd passes and all of his passes were very badly off target which caused Prescott's target to make ridiculous catches that hampered their ability to run after the catch. I believe CeeDee was hurrt because of the passes he had to deal with while Prescott was QBing. CeeDee was forced to reach over his head or reach behind his back, or bend down almost to his knees to make catches that had him off balanced when his defenders would hit and slam him to the ground. Not once did he catch a ball in stride, one where he could use his slick abilities to free himself up for extra yards. No, his catches were punishing to his well being.......................

These other QB's can keep D honest with their legs & throw guys open. Our Oline or weapons would look better than they are.

If you are watching MNF, Patrick was under pressure on every down of last drive and with tremendous pressure put a pass on DHop 35 yards downfield. They didn't run the ball at all so it was all pass rush and he still got it done. With other QB's their line would be getting roasted.

I agree and have been saying it for weeks! 2 rookies who will make mistakes but you also have Steele is a week run blocker, Tyler Smith is huge, talented but makes too many mistakes and still can't decide who to block, even he's lined up head to head and last but not least, Mr. Martin is sorry to say pretty much done and he knows it. It's sad because he will be in the Hall of Fame someday but he's 33 years old in his 11th year and he can't move like he once did! Jerry has screwed this team up for the next 4-5 years!

Did Rush come in during prevent time??? Or is that only a factor for Dak?
