Aaron's line has been worse than ours. Yet even at his age, he understands the game so well he anticipates where the pressure will come from and is immediately maneuvering to give himself the most time. Of course he has the talent to make the passes with just a flick of the wrist. Or the savy to run a screen to slow down the rush. Just some of the things other QB's do to help their OL and their playmakers.

You asked me for examples of QB's who do things to overcome weaknesses in their team. It would be much simpler to name the ones who don't.

These other QB's can keep D honest with their legs & throw guys open. Our Oline or weapons would look better than they are.

If you are watching MNF, Patrick was under pressure on every down of last drive and with tremendous pressure put a pass on DHop 35 yards downfield. They didn't run the ball at all so it was all pass rush and he still got it done. With other QB's their line would be getting roasted.

Watching, but with our OL, Mahomes ankle would be in shreds right now, uniform would be much dirtier, and Vitay Vey would be with 5 sacks alone and possibly Wentz warming up......but you left out a few things.......Andy Reid with a headphone and play sheet, and Spagnola on the other side. Game over. Mahomes is the man without question.

He can't read defense's and he's not a natural passer. He doesn't have a natural feel for the game. I guess what I'm saying is that the game hasn't seemed to have slowed down for him. Even when he was playing well he still seemed to press...and that was with a good Oline and a running game.

Not saying there aren't issues on the line ... but every QB has to deal with line issues. I can't think of a single OL this year that is solid across the board.

Lot of other QB's compensate rather than compound the issue.

Dak gets the team he wants.
Jerry gets adequate trade compensation or at least better than a 3rd round comp pick.

You’re plan has the Cowboys WAITING on Dak to request a trade. My plan has the Cowboys ACTIVELY shopping for a sucker team to unload Prescott upon - and not without penalty to the Cowboys franchise. But Dak’s contract is so onerous that the team will certainly be forced to take a hit. However, doing so will allow them to move towards finding a roster formula that allows them to be competitive again. With the combined cap hit of Dak and Ceedee’s contract soaking up about one-third of the cap going forward - any hopes of a swift rebuild are pretty much tanked.

By trading him to the team he requests they reduce their dead cap hit and can get some adequate compensation in return.

Dak contract moving forward is very reasonable and trade-able. Jerry is holding on $24M this year for some reason.

All Jerry needs to do is go to Dak and say I have decided to rebuild. Dak will not want to be a part of if it and request a trade.

All I can do is hope that Jones has an epiphany - a moment of crystalline clarity where he comes to the realization that Prescott will never take him to the heights he wants to achieve. That Ceedee’s mom actually had it right - that Ceedee knows what most also now know… that Dak is NOT ‘the guy.’

But you do see him dealing with pressure every dropback and doing things to keep those sacks from happening while still moving the ball, right? It's not about who's OL, my point was other QB's help cover weaknesses & every team has issues.

How is our OL giving up pressure any faster or more than what his line was last night? The play sheet doesn't matter as much when the QB is having to play his tail off just to get the pass away.

Certainly, the Chiefs are a better overall team and having a balanced D is a huge advantage. But none of that matters about my original comment that "other QB's do things to compensate not compound the issues"
