I had 2 people last night, one a Steelers fan. But thinks Dak is a good QB, and would take him as their QB. She said she has gained a lot of respect for Dak now saying what he said.

Another, is a Dallas fan, not sold on Dak, but he said he gained a lot of respect for Dak as well.
As soon as you said She . . . was all i needed to hear

You guys are fascinating. This is Dak saying out loud that he understands the game and doesn't take any of it personally. Jerry feels the same way.. This is all part of the dance which Jerry absolutely loves to engage in. People attempting to read some deeper meaning into every word uttered are projecting their own feelings into it. Something neither Jerry nor Dak will ever do. It's business.
It is not what you perceive him as having said. . . It is how He said it

Right on Bob. Whether you like Dak or not, Jerry’s treated him as a hard nosed businessman franchising him twice and stringing him along both contracts. Dak’s bent over backwards for the franchise coming back from a horrific leg injury better than he was before. Jerry and Stephen should be ashamed.
You have a point about the franchise tags and this current negotiation, but they did sign him to a huge long-term extension following a catastrophic injury.

I know Jerry craves the drama and has thick skin, but an employer that you're about to give life changing money to (again) saying his media ramblings "doesn't hold weight with him" has to hit piss him off, no?
It shouldn't. People are making too much of this. Dak was basically referring to what Jerry says to the media. Not everything he says. Every player should think that way. That would allow Jerry to say anything he wants to the media knowing his players won't take it personal.

How he said it can only be tied to your perception. Without perception the words have no real meaning. I have watched Jerry now for 35 years.. I know how much he enjoys the chase of negotiations. He gets a rush from it. He enjoys the jousting and the back and forth in the media. Yuo or I might think of it as insanity.. Jerry sees it as fun.. Dak has been with Jerry long enough to know that.. so he is telling yall that he knows what it is and he don't care about it. People are free to take it however they want.. But that's the way I personally see it. There has been too many so called acrimonious negotiations between Jerry and player end up in hugs all around for me to see it otherwise.

CowboysZone ULTIMATE Fan
Most fans have the mentality of a 6th grader so it's a perfect match.
At first..I was like...dang why is this dude insulting other fans? It's weird to make such an immature generalization, much of it from disagreement on opinion.

Then I was like...hey wait...isn't he right? Isn't that what we all should really be doing? Enjoy sport with youthful enthusiasm...I mean what is this...some competition of football acumen? Br grown men? THAT'S weird!

Yep...a little philosophical this morning, eh? I thought I'd mention the conundrum you put me in. :)

Yeah man folks should fan how they wanna fan. I am just pointing out that for most people it means frothing at the mouth, screaming at the TV and/or at other fans and hurling barbs at fans of other teams. And sometimes at fans of their own team.. and as we both have observed.. at players on their own team. It's just not a very mature behavior pattern overall.. but every person is entitled to his or her own way of having fun. But that don't mean we can't call it what it is.. immature as hell.. But still fun..

I stopped listening to what Jerry says in the Media and It doesn't hold weight with me could've been stated as that is just Jerry posturing in the Media and a lot of it is just White Noise.

Dak sounded sour and disgruntled and how he said it was disrespectful to Jerry, it was 100% true, but in poor taste

I understand why you love it but this is not a good look if you are a Dak/ Cowboys fan tgis should concern you if toy want him to remain the Cowboys QB. You should not be taking Enjoyment from Dak's vindictive behavior

A trade to the Steelers would be best for all, gives them the QB that Tomlin absolutely needs and gives us plenty of Christmas presents under the tree!
If Tomlin wants some more Ls… Dak play long in the open stadium of Pittsburgh, on slower grass and cold winters…

I don't know how you got "love" out of anything I have stated. "Accepted" is the word you're looking for.

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Always appreciated that ethic.

Always appreciated that ethic.
In other words, we need wisdom to accept that the Cowboys suck.
