I think that Aikman and Staubach were more men of action than men of words.
Dak claims he is a team motivator.
I think that back in the day, by the time players went into the NFL, that these men were self-motivated.

As my post refers back to when they could and would back up all their talk I just think they look stupid trying to talk ish when they haven't even been to the playoffs in 2 years.

Yeah, these ain't Jimmy's Boys or they could talk all they want.
This group of losers need to keep their mouths shut and win more than a wild card playoff game for once.

This reality is that it’s just a fan perspective and you’re entitled to it after years of the team failing to succeed in the playoffs

But you gotta understand that players coaches, other teams players and their coaches, they don’t care one bit about any of that. All of them would call it negative, non-productive thinking.

Many fans don’t even feel that way. The hat in hand, aww shucks, humility (and shame) that many fans carry around is on them 100%. Usually, in my opinion, it’s also got a bit of resentment against players in general and some fans simply don’t want to feel that way so they make a choice not to.

It’s like wearing your lucky cap on game day. Makes us feel good (or bad) but doesn’t impact the game one bit

I’m trying to imagine my CEO after a down year presenting the annual report to stakeholders:

“Look, we sucked last year. We sucked the year before that too. In fact, we haven't hit our KPIs since 1995. But we're going to put our heads down, stay humble, and just try to be better. We know we haven't earned your trust, but we'd sure appreciate your thoughts and prayers.”

The board would fire them before they finished the sentence.

High-performers don't wallow in self-pity to make the stakeholders feel better, and neither do NFL coaches and players.

I would have worn SB XXVIII. IMHO, the best of the 90’s teams. XXX was bittersweet as it was the end , when there should have been more. Dead Horse
