Dak in 20

I generally get the impression that there isn't the QB shortage that some people think. When you add in the teams that will soon hook their wagons to a newly drafted QB, there is a pretty short number of teams who would seriously be looking at Dak for $35m.

Before someone brings up Wentz or Goff, I think that's the case for them too.

And yeah, before we start with the whataboutisms, Zeke, Tank and Jaylon are overpaid.

Dak has spent his career playing under an idiotic coaching staff.

If the next coach doesn't want Dak then move on, but give someone smarter than JG the chance to decide if Dak should be kept.

Honestly Dak is probably a super bowl winning QB if he had taken over for Brady instead of Romo.

We need better coaching to have better evaluations.

25-30, seriously? You can be a Dak hater all you want but Kirk Cousins makes 28M a year. Nick Foles 22M. Dak is far younger and has vastly better potential than both of those guys. When a QB with any type of talent his the open market, they're going to get a very nice payday.
Cousins >>> Dak without a doubt.

Well 19 QBs make over 20 million a year, 12 make 25 million+, 6 make 30 million+. So a lot of people would pay Dak. Even Tannenhill can potentially get 20 million this year, lol. Unless you're on a rookie contract, or a fringe starter you're getting a lot of money.
You do realize Tannehill led the league in passer rating and had nearly 10 YPA...in Tennessee, right?

First of all, you can think what you wish but don't try and tell me what I am. I don't hate Dak. I'm just telling you what it is and what I think. You think he can make more then 30 a year, cool. I don't see it but we'll see. Cousins is in the playoffs. Foles has won a Super Bowl.

There are QBs in this draft, probably 4 of them, who personnel guys believe have the talent to be as good or better then any of those guys. Teams who sign Dak for a big contract are likely doing it as a stop gap, short term deal. Teams who are talented and want a franchise QB are more likely to invest in a draft pick and take advantage of the rookie deal.

It's set for a reason.. Because NFL teams are stupid.

NFL teams give out stupid contracts and all the other teams follow along in their stupidity.

Don't disagree with that. However, with cap rollover, it makes mostly bad teams desperate to get instant upgrades and they have the cap space to burn. Hence the Jets paying a very good LB in Mosley 17mil per year resetting that market. Or Solder getting stupid money in NYG even though he's not an elite LT

But yea, the positions that are hard to find good talent, yet alone elite talent, so DE's, QB's, LT's etc are all seeing contracts rise even if they truly aren't top 5 in their respective positions.

Justin Herbert, Jake Eason, Jake Fromm, Jalen Hurts, POSSIBLY Tua if he falls and you move up a little. There are options if you get some good picks for Dak.

Did you read my post?? Did you take it that I was implying he was trash? If he was trash he would get under 10 million a year and be a backup or fringe starter. Tan had a good season and will get paid somewhere as a top 10-15 QB. When the Dolphins moved on from him it seemed like he was a bust, but one season has completely changed the market for him.

didn't realize you were one of those trolls, I wouldn't have engaged
What kind of trolls? You asked a silly (trollish) question. I gave the only real answer one could give. Here, in the real world (universe), Cousins is better than Dak, without question.

Yes, I took the "Even, Tannehill" as an implication that even crap QBs are going to be making quite a bit.
