Because in my opinion he's the weak link on the Cowboys chain.
The Cowboys don't win because of Dak.
They win in spite of him. When they need him to be the difference that makes them better, he doesn't.
And that's why they can't beat good teams.
When someone says a team won in spite of the QB, it means the rest of the team made up for his poor play. That wasn't the case last week, by any stretch of the imagination.

So you don't think the running game keeps Dak from having to pass more?

Someone may have mentioned this earlier, but Staubach's career is stellar. 1st team AA at Navy, winning the Heisman and graduating 1965, he served 4 years in the U.S. Navy.
Signed by the Cowboys in 1969. Captain America

Every team's running game does that. There are two options; run it or pass it. Keep those two things balanced and you have a recipe for success.

Dak played very well last week, regardless of the running game. But that said, it's often Dak's choice whether to throw it or hand it off.

C'mon, he's only referring to the people who get overly emotional at the thought that someone might imply that Dak is better than Roger.
So.... nobody is implying dak ! might be better? Then why post this?

Of I get it....trolls. we love trolls it's part of the rules.

Staubach, the great QB that played 8 full seasons after serving his country and played in an era that relied heavily on the running game......but hey, let's celebrate Dak. LOL

Other older era quarterbacks get surpassed by today's quarterbacks but you don't see them downplayed like Cowboys fans downplay their own quarterback.

Its hilarious to watch the weak people cry and whine at any positive.

Yes, but ask anyone who has seen both play which you'd rather have in their prime as your starting QB. Would anyone take any Cowboys QB over Staubach? As good as a lot of them are, Staubach would be my first choice every time.

That's not downplaying Dak's abilities. He's a good QB.

Let's hope Dak eventually becomes the team's all-time passing leader. It's good for the Cowboys.

Wake me when Dak passes Roger Staubach's clutchiness in big games.

I would have been happy if he had just beat the Packers. What a pathetic performance by Dak.
