Jesus, that means Tyron Steele is more than outweighing Smith’s production to have such a low tackle sxore

I think that measure is all OL, where our center would assist in the effort as well as the back-up for the games Smith missed.

Again, this isn't all that surprising. Dak has never not had hot streaks or looked good for large chunks of a season.

The issue is the peaks and valleys. He seems to get those "valleys" at the wrong time, typically near season end/playoffs.

If he can play like he did against Philly and NYG through our rough stretch in December and into the playoffs, then we have a fighting chance. But if you had to bet your house on it, would you bet on Dak being hot inDecember, January and hopefully Feb? That's the question.
The peaks and valleys are what all teams go through every season. The difference is the understanding of what is successful and what isn't.
There's a reason Dak plays really good and doesn't. It's not all on him.

Healthy, SF is the best team in football. I hope we can somehow avoid them but its just not seeming like its going to play out that way
Naw its not and aye oh well. If they're the best go beat the best. And honestly they really owe it to this fanbase to not let that last showing against them be the last time we see them this season. Insane.

Steele has been pretty shoddy. As an Eagles fan, you saw him get abused, especially in the 4th Q two Sundays ago. If the Cowboys get even competent RT play that game, they have a great shot of winning.

But a lot is on him. Again, take that interception he threw against the Giants. That's not on anyone but Dak there. And in those valleys, he tends to make way more dumb decisions like that than he does when he's in a groove.

Sure, he's not the ONLY reason we lost at San Fran last year or the year before. But he's had a heavy hand in it and the reality is he needs to play more like he has recently if the Cowboys want to make a run and in the last two playoffs, he's not been nearly as sharp consistently.

It's funny because this year defenses are playing these teams tougher than ever. Some guys aren't able to catch on or haven't yet. Dak seems to be in a zone now. And he's up there playing some tough defenses like the 49ers, Eagles, JETS, Giants in week one....Pats when they were healthy.
Rhythm for the Cowboys is starting to come to the Carpet. Now the momentum progresses will also.

Get ahead early and the opponent's approach changes...also.

Fun fact about the 32 QBs ranked here:

20 of them were 1st Round picks.

Out of those 20, 10 are in the top half of the list (1-16), and 10 are in the bottom half.

Dak's ranked higher than every single one of them, other than Mahomes.

And the #1 guy on the list was Mr. Irrelevant last year!

Are we sure we want to toss Dak into the trash? Just so we can draft a 1st Round QB who Dak will probably be way better than?

A lot? How much?
There's a common denominator here with regard to the success of this team, but you're only looking at the box score of the QB. Many fans do this and that's fine, but it's disingenuous. It's a team sport. When the Center plays his worst game against Philly, that's NOT what gets reported. When a WR drops a ball that hits his hands, they typically don't get the blame. Same with literally everything related to the offense. I brought up the O line for a reason.
There are so many examples that's it's bizarre it's ignored.

I mean they've only really been truly dominated this last time, Dallas is due for a win
That's what hurts the most. I felt like regardless of the outcome we were close. Then this last game happened but I'm willing to believe that was more fluke than anything. That team is not 30 points better than us. Wonder how this offense looks against that defense when Dak doesn't just sit back in the pocket?

I didn’t think it was that bad every game. For a 51 overall at Tackle, Steele and Tyron’s injury dude had to really drag their heels to bring it so far down. The only team with tackles under 46 is NYG….

I can’t imagine he’s your longterm future despite his contract with what you did to La’el

Timing is everything, we should feel collectively as Cowboys fans that we have a chance with Dak if the timing is perfect and he is playing his best season ever entering post season 2023.
Every team hopes for the same.

Because he leads the league in tds by about 5 and can run. This metric also doesn't penalize him for ints that aren't his fault, like the first one last night.
Allen has 11 int’s and 3 fumbles. I trust Dak more.

I just hope they gameplan to actually let Dak use his strengths and not trying to force him to try and beat that defense in the pocket

Giants duped him on that one pretty good.showed man and dropped in zone at last second but Im not sure even if they stayed man that wasnt picked looks like they had receiver blanketed
