But a lot is on him. Again, take that interception he threw against the Giants. That's not on anyone but Dak there. And in those valleys, he tends to make way more dumb decisions like that than he does when he's in a groove.

Sure, he's not the ONLY reason we lost at San Fran last year or the year before. But he's had a heavy hand in it and the reality is he needs to play more like he has recently if the Cowboys want to make a run and in the last two playoffs, he's not been nearly as sharp consistently.
This is the thing though when it comes to the 49ers....you can't beat them one one guy. Because you better believe it's not gonna be one guy that beats you. Fred Warner is going to impact the game, CMAC will(though in their defense they seem to be handling him ok
),Deebo, Aiyuk, Bosa.....there's 6 or 7 elite players who are going to make an a impact on a game. It feels like for us its half of that and most of them come on defense. It hasn't been a game this season where Pollard has been the best player on the field. Lamb has shown it. Dak at times has shown it. Ferguson has shown it at times. We need our playmakers to show it more consistently.

Giants duped him on that one pretty good.showed man and dropped in zone at last second but Im not sure even if they stayed man that wasnt picked looks like they had receiver blanketed
I'm not even sure the Giants duped him as much as the corner did. I think he free lanced on that play on a hunch and actually broke away from the scheme to end up where he did. Good play by him and the bodies between him and the receiver kept Dak from seeing it. It happens.. Every QB that has ever lived has thrown that particular type of interception. I don't see any reason to overreact to it. As long it only happens every 4th or 5th game I simply will not care.

He had an interception against lowly giants. That's all we need to know. He also got sacked against eagles on the last drive. He should have compensated for Steele and he didn't.

And stats don't matter.

Mahomes and Purdy are pretty good. They deserve to be up there.
Well, stats matter if you are Mahomes or Purdy, right?

BTW, being a down team doesn't mean never getting a single INT, and being a good QB doesn't mean never throwing one, even against a down team.

BTW, Josh Allen also threw an INT against the lowly Giants.

BTW, how was he supposed to "compensate" for Steele? Should he have thrown it away as soon as he touched it and never given the play a chance? When a play is called its success always depends on others doing their jobs, and that applies whether the QB is Dak, Mahomes, Purdy or anyone else?

A lot? How much?
There's a common denominator here with regard to the success of this team, but you're only looking at the box score of the QB. Many fans do this and that's fine, but it's disingenuous. It's a team sport. When the Center plays his worst game against Philly, that's NOT what gets reported. When a WR drops a ball that hits his hands, they typically don't get the blame. Same with literally everything related to the offense. I brought up the O line for a reason.
There are so many examples that's it's bizarre it's ignored.
If you don't think Dak has had a major impact on our failures in the postseason the last couple of years, then you are just not being honest. He wasn't very good in those games. Yes, we can point to coaching as well and some other player failures but the QB is the most important position on the field and has the greatest impact on the outcomes of games.

He didn't play well in the last two playoffs (well he was sharp against TB last year but then fizzled against San Fran). So maybe more accurately he hasn't played consistently in the playoffs.

And why are you bringing up Philly? He played great in that game.

I didn’t think it was that bad every game. For a 51 overall at Tackle, Steele and Tyron’s injury dude had to really drag their heels to bring it so far down. The only team with tackles under 46 is NYG….

I can’t imagine he’s your longterm future despite his contract with what you did to La’el
I think the thought is that he's just having that inconsistent bounce back year you often see from from guys that had major surgeries. Maybe they will be right or maybe Steele just isn't that good.

Sure but you can't also beat them if your QB isn't playing well either.

The reality is the QB is the most important and arguably the one guy that can have the largest effect on the outcome of the game. Dak, at times, has shown himself to be epically good. But unfortunately, at times, he's shown us to be hesitant or inconsistent or inefficient. No moreso than last year when over the 2nd half of the season there were games he looked great (Philly, TB in the playoffs) and then games he looked out of sync.

I am 99% confident that regardless of what the players around him do, if a QB struggles in the postseason against quality comp, that team is going to have a hard time winning. That doesn't mean Dak isn't to blame entirely for the last two playoff losses to San Fran. But he's certainly contributed to them.

Damn, I'm sorry. I actually debated with myself about whether you were being sarcastic, and even considered looking at some of your past posts to see if I could get a feel for you, then I talked myself out of it. Should have listened to my first instinct

Didn't you say you wouldn't respond to me again?

LOLLLLL, curb-stomped you so thoroughly that you couldn't stay away. Your feelings are hurt.

Oh, and Dak's play is making you look more and more foolish, but you're used to that.
