Think about all the Anti-Dak Cult Members who have called Dak "trash" or "average" all offseason....

And now the rest of us can officially point and laugh at them.
:lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2:

Nobody on this board knows better than actual NFL personnel. Go argue with a wall.

The Anti-Dakkers lose yet again, because losers lose.

Top 10 List:

  1. Patrick Mahomes – Kansas City Chiefs
  2. Joe Burrow – Cincinnati Bengals
  3. Josh Allen – Buffalo Bills
  4. Aaron Rodgers – New York Jets
  5. Justin Herbert – Los Angeles Chargers
  6. Jalen Hurts – Philadelphia Eagles
  7. Lamar Jackson – Baltimore Ravens
  8. Trevor Lawrence – Jacksonville Jaguars
  9. Dak Prescott – Dallas Cowboys
  10. Matthew Stafford – Los Angeles Rams

Honorable Mention:

  • Deshaun Watson – Cleveland Browns
  • Kirk Cousins – Minnesota Vikings
  • Jared Goff – Detroit Lions
  • Derek Carr – New Orleans Saints
  • Tua Tagovailoa – Miami Dolphins

Additional Votes:

  • Kyler Murray – Arizona Cardinals
  • Daniel Jones – New York Giants
  • Justin Fields – Chicago Bears

That's cool and all, I have zero objection to the rankings and would say this looks pretty accurate to me, but I don't think this is the flex on the anti Dak crowd that you believe it to be. This has NFL coaches & execs putting Dak closer to Carrs & Cousins than it does the Burrows and Mahomes.

More like closer to hurts, Lawrence and lamar
But the point is you have a top 10 and you can’t get Mahomes or burrow so you’ve done pretty well at the position

It is a flex, because literally NOBODY claims Dak is in Mahomes' league.

Dak supporters like myself have said Dak's a very good-but-not-great QB who is in the top 10. We've been called Dak homers, Dak slobberers and worse for this "terrible take."

Turns out NFL personnel believe us Dak supporters were 100% spot-on.

Turns out NFL personnel would laugh the Anti-Dak Cult out of the room.

It's fantastic. Yet another year of getting to laugh at the dummies who can't come to grips with reality:

Dak's a top 10 QB. Period.

No argument with that, but this is also why I think looking at QB rankings more so in terms of tiers is the way to go. IMO Dak at #9 feels pretty accurate, I'd even be fine moving him ahead of Lawrence, but whats the gap between a Trevor Lawracnce or Dak Presoctt to some of those guys like Tua or Goff? Opinions there will certainly differ, but I think there is a really good argument that it's pretty close.

You could also argue that Dak/Trevor are just as close to Rodgers/Burrow/Allen as they are to Tua/Goff.

The brigade has moved the needle far from any sense of reality to the "he must go at all costs" point. The narrative of "we cannot win with him" and "you either like the Cowboys or you like Dak Prescott" are teh central arguments.

Goff played well last year
Tua played well when healthy but struggled late in the year
The difference in 10 and say 13 isn’t huge like it is at the top
Mahomes is to me the top guy by a wide margin then the next 3-4 guys kinda lumped together. Then as you go down the differences among them is less

Seems about right.

Virtually every way I have seen it tabulated has him right around 10th. Being 9th isn't some huge stretch.

I get what you're saying, but I think the crowd you're dunking on with this is a pretty small (although probably pretty loud to be fair) portion of the board. I think the pro Dak and anti Dak crowds for the most part wouldnt rank him too far apart TBH and I'd think most people probably would put him right around the #10 spot in the league. Maybe I'm naive and give people the benefit too much but I sense that most of the Dak hate is based around his contract.

And I have no problem saying that anyone saying "he must go at all costs" is delusional. IMO there is a path for Dak to exit after this year depending on what happens, but there is also a very obvious path where it makes sense to keep the guy around. I tend to struggle with anyone in an absolute side of that debate one way or the other.

I haven't been around much of the "he must go at all costs" posts, but I also havent been around a ton since the draft and tend to stay away from the Dak threads 10+ pages long before I even start reading so it's possible i'm wrong and there is more of this extreme view than I think.

I would agree with that completely. Anywhere from probably hurts to Tua on that list is going to be somewhat interchangeable as the year goes on and be pretty dependent on what happened over the previous couple weeks. Once you get outside of the the Mahomes, Allens, etc that list becomes very fluid.

I think Dak being in the top 10 by anyone just shows how QB starved this league is these days. And honestly, between 9 and 15 you can arrange those names in any order and it would be just as accurate.
No argument with the second part of your post but I would actually argue that the league is not nearly as QB starved as it was in the past. A team like LV can just let a guy like Derek Carr go, not think twice about it, and then go get a Jimmy G who has played in a superbowl. I think this is about as deep as the QB position has ever been....now is it deep with a lot of above average to average players and lacks the top-end guys like we had a decade ago? That very well could be true.

Its all cool when you agree with them.

Nope. Everyone who disagrees with me about Dak isn't the people I'm talking about.

I'm talking about the dumb haters who really believe that they know more about football and NFL quarterbacking than other players, coaches and GMs.

Maybe you're one of those I speak of. Are you triggered that people who know more about NFL football than you placed Dak in the top 10?
