Dak is a bonafide All-Paid Starter

I agree, Hurts is so trash.
I disagree. I am no Jalen Hurts fan, but he is hardly trash. Against a great KC defense that forced him to throw the ball to win, he walks away with the MVP. Plus, he is the key piece to the “Tush Push”, the single biggest advantage in all of football. For the rest of the league its first and ten, for the Eagles its first and nine. It’s completely legal, and it should be allowed. It’s easy, all you need is a QB that can squat 600 lbs. It’s like an offensive lineman behind an offensive line. Good luck stopping that.

I've had my say, let's watch this year and have this discussion in Jan/Feb.

And that's fine. But while we're watching what happens, let's make sure we dont cherry pick and let's observe what the ENTIRE team and coaching staff does. Let's not judge the success or failure of a TEAM on ONE position/ONE player on a football team that consists of 53 players and a staff full of new coaches.

This isn't boxing or golf. Its called a team game for a reason.

That dude saves his best play for the biggest games. Even in his SB loss his play was stellar ,save for one pick.

With the guy we've got here, no Cowboys fan has any credibility in dissing Hurts.

This is settled fact

Its not about liking or disliking Dak. Its about telling the true facts.

And with all due respect to you, we can't allow Herbert the excuses of what coaches or players are around him. Dak doesn't get the benefit of the doubt for playing for trash coaching, a battered offensive line, average running backs after Zeke, the team leading the NFL in penalties, defense unable to stop the run, etc etc.

Don't get me wrong, im not excluding Dak from his lackluster play at times, but Dak is held fully responsible for our overall team failures and shortcomings. So with that said, we have to hold Herbert and every other NFL quarterback to the same standards and expectations.

If Dak, a 4th round pick is held accountable, then you damn well better know that Herbert a FIRST round pick will be held accountable in the same way. No excuses.

Yea Dak.got benefit of doubt from the home office. I didn't say Dak wasn't a good quarterback I said Herbert is better. I'll modify it to my opinion. Beyond that. Let's talk in Feb.

Dak is QB1 on the all-paid team.

https://www.nfl.com/news/2025-nfl-a...dak-prescott-headline-top-earners-by-position

By average per year (APY), Prescott is the NFL’s highest-paid player by $5 million (Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, Jordan Love and Trevor Lawrence all check in at $55 million). Somehow, Prescott’s contract survived Allen’s $330 million extension in March. The 2024 season went about as poorly as it could for Prescott. After throwing nearly as many interceptions in the first eight games of 2024 (eight) as he did in all of 2023 (nine), Prescott suffered a season-ending hamstring injury in November. However, in his last full season (2023), he led the NFL with 36 touchdown passes. At the end of the day, performance in the playoffs will always define a quarterback. A 2-5 career postseason mark remains a blemish on Prescott’s résumé.
Prescott is an overpaid, over hyped, less than mediocre QB in the NFL. The sooner he's gone, the better off the Cowboys will be, but until then get ready for a 3rd place finish at best in the Eastern Div. (Playoffs, did someone mention playoffs, not with Prescott in the back field.........................) LOL!!!!!!!

Let's not give him the lion's share of the blame, just the lion's share of the money/fame/stature and credit when he does win or gain meaningless "awards" like "near-MVP"?

They act like claiming it’s a 53 man roster means that every person on the team has an equal contribution and impact. When in reality positions like QB, OT, DT have a lot more impact than 3rd string RB.

I didn't know MVP runner ups and All-Pro awards were meaningless. If it's that easy to be in those meaningless categories, why aren't there some quarterbacks who are said to be better than our quarterback, achieving that? Its easy, correct?

Again, it doesn't matter how much a player makes, it still is a team game. Its not boxing or golf.

There's 53 men on a NFL football for a reason.

When the Cowboys win, one player doesn't deserve all the credit. When the Cowboys lose, one player doesn't deserve all the blame. Its just that simple.
