Confucius says, "Continually tiptoeing around site rule #1 on the open forum is a convenient way of getting a thread permanently locked."

Well. Confucius did not really say that. Nah but HE WOULD HAVE THOUGH! If he was living today instead of 2,600 years ago...

No doubt but I’d still recommend more fans report these personal attacks and insults .

Cause once you engage become part of the problem as well. Much like retaliation on the field drawing a flag when you didn’t swing first.
I understand where you are coming from and it is a family forum, but fight club still drives entertainment and interest levels, and long as it stays somewhat civil.
I endorse the arguements, it never upsets me in the least when someone throws a jab my way, it's made me a better poster.

To be honest, Dak still has talent. He just needs to get his head right. It's all mental right now which he is struggling with. You don't get to the point of a career 9 years in to becoming the all-time franchise passing leader in just about every passer category if you don't have talent.
You know, I just got to thinking and started looking at his facial expressions when he choked.... The guy looks strung out on painkillers. I wonder if he got addicted or something due to the ankle injury

I love good arguments as well. Personal attacks and insults is just bullying and child’s play. I’m too old for that crap.

There’s always a possibility the noise has gotten in his head. But we also have to factor in this supporting cast offensively is possibly as bad as he’s had. When has Dak had a good season without some sort of running game.

It was all mental. Non-pressured inexcusably thrown INTs into double coverage. Dude mentally broke down. All game long he had that deer-in-the-headlights look with his mouth hanging wide open as if he was protecting a little bird inside his mouth. Dude was mentally choked out from the very beginning to the very end. He seriously needs a good drag down beating.
He plays like this every game against the Niners and other good teams. It’s like he has a very strong fear while playing them.

I understand. The difference though....is that you never attacked other good fans for their opinion on it. AC was brutal to people...and now here he is suddenly and it's okay? Can't blame anyone for being cautious about it.

Appreciate your courteous reply.
Let it be known....I called it. The caution was warranted.

Even when we've had a decent team around him, he's choked in the end (Except 2016). Good team, bad team, Dak messes up. No more excuses for the $60 million dollar flop. Sorry.

Maybe your expectations are greater . Mine haven’t changed and are lower. That Rookie contract was our best opportunity.

And it’s not an excuse . It’s a factor . One which is tough to overcome. I wouldn’t have resigned him 4 years ago. Much less now .

Ultimately we had a choice. And as a result of that choice have to try and build around best we can instead of expecting greater results on its own . Which seems nuts to me .

And I’d continue to argue there was more we could have done to prop it up instead of sitting pat hoping he’d meet the expectations of a ridiculousness contract .
That rookie year was an opportunity....for Romo.

Dak played well enough to get (for once) Romo healed instead of playing hurt. As the better qb at the time....he should have came back in.

The water has flowed quite far from that bridge.

Cool and I understand, but just makes me laugh everyday rather than worry about it.
I go catch big fish when I can't:) take it anymore....

I suppose we all come here for different agendas and entertainment. I come here to vent frustrations , voice concerns and for good civil discussions on the Cowboys with other diehard fans , not childish bullying.

I call it like I see it. Dude was mentally checked out all game long. I can't stand choke job performances from any Cowboys QBs, especially when they hold the team and owner over the hot coals and rob them blind!
I have to agree AC......."ESPECIALLY when they hold the team and owner over the hot coals and rob them blind."

Where he played poorly and pulled one out in the end - still played poorly most of the game!
Great....but was he clutch or not?

Also...was the pass to Turpin that hit him in the face clutch or not?
