Dak is a winner, never had a losing season as a starter

Like the ones I mentioned in very post your responding to??? I thought of Romo and Jimmy G in like 2 minutes. I'm not doing the research on this one because I really dont care. My point was never to bash Dak, and had a whole lot more to do with debunking the narrative the OP is trying to force on us. Just a few others that I think might fall into this category would be Joe Flacco, Andy Dalton, Russell Wilson (for a few more weeks at least), maybe even a Tyrod Taylor??? Granted Taylor has played considerably fewer games. Outside of Jimmy G and Romo I have no idea if any of these guys did what the OP wants us to praise Dak for, but the point is while it's not easy this is something than many QBs either have done or have come very close to doing, even some mediocre ones.
but by your own standards Romo had a 1-3 and 1-5 season....and he had to 8-8 seasons. technically not a winning season. Garopolo also had a 1-2 and 3-3 season. but technically speaking Garoplo has only played one full season in his career (1 out of 9, and 1 out of 6 in SF).

andy dalton had a 6-9-1 season and a 7-9 season. subsequently every season after that he played he had a losing record.

Flacco had a lot of partial seasons and he had two 8-8 season. technically not a winning season (but not a losing season). then he had a bunch of seasons he had a losing record while he was playing and I guess either being benched or injured.

russell wilson had a 6-8 and 3-7 season his last two years in Seattle and is about to get his first losing season where he plays the whole season as denver sucks.

tyrod taylor was a part time player. primarily a back up. he had three seasons he played 13 games or more, once he went 7-6, another he went 7-8 and the rest are just partial season one or two games.

its just a stat. no big deal. I didn't even care. its about post season. unless he finds post season success Dak is nothing but just like Romo.

No that it really matters, but that's sort of my point though is that other QBs have at least been in the same conversation and if you do some mental gymnastics have done the same as what Dak has done. With Dak we ignore the partial season and the 8-8 year though.

I'm right there with you that this is a stat and one I sort of care about, but dont really care about, it's why I didnt even look up the guys after Jimmy G and Romo haha, it's waaaay more about how it was framed by the OP than anything and how he tells people what to think instead of actively taking part in civil discussions here.

No pushback on you at all my man, I was just genuinely confused when we first started going back and forth. Honestly i'm pretty over this thread.

yeah, I am not a big fan of comparing QBs with wins and losses. its a stat in the bucket of stats to compare....some people have fun with it

Dak is a good QB, but there is no win without a Superbowl victory in the NFL. only the first loser.
27 years and counting. That's an entire generation that has never seen the team win a championship.

Dak is a good quarterback and plays when he is healthy.......... between 12 - 7 top QB in the league ...... he has never been replaced with another QB ....... and he has never been Benched.

Dak.. The last 2 weeks... 7 for 21 on passes over 10 yards. On the season, on passes over 10 yards he has a 51% completion percentage... 21% completion percentage on the season on those long 25+ yard..... bombs?

But.. You should see his completion percentage on screen passes.. Dude is killing it.

Real Dallas Cowboys History...Only 2 Quarterbacks in Dallas Cowboys history has never had a losing season. Can you name them? Dak Prescott is not one of the answers.

Hint...go back to win the Dallas Cowboys were the Dallas Cowboys and not the Arlington Jonesboys.

Andy Daltons first 5 seasons with the Bengals all winning.

Never had a post season success.

Dak is very similar. Not consistent is the key. He is consistently just good enough to win when he is supposed to. He is surrounded by talent which hides his flaws just like the Bengals during that time.

Dak will go down like many NFL QBs. Just good enough but couldn't get the big wins and won't be going to the HoF.

One can argue, the most iconic and valuable team in the NFL would try a little harder to recruit a 1st round QB that has the potential to be a HoF QB.

It's like Jerry is trying to find his version of Tom Brady. I would settle for an Andrew luck. And Andrew never had an o line like Dak. Nor the talent Dak has had. If Andrew played his career here, he might still be playing and with 2 SB rings minimum.

Dak is the culmination of continued bad business decisions the Jones make.

Actually it was 3.

Craig Morton, Drew Bledsoe, and Roger Staubach
