Big deal, so he can beat BOTTOMFEEDER teams, that doesn't make him average, that just says he's a step ahead of the bottom feeders. Prescot is bad, he's overpaid, over hyped and is less than mediocre as an NFL QB.

This is the simplest, accurate explanation. He's not really any better than any of the QB's his supporters call trash. Compared to legit NFL QB's, he's awful especially at his salary.

Regardless of salary, he's simply not good enough. Real football organizations would have known this years ago and moved on.

Jerry paid him the market rate... I don't have a problem with Jerry paying someone he market rate as long as that someone is our future... Dak isn't our future. As I mentioned in another post, he's a bus driver backup at best... Jerry didn't have to sign Dak. Yeah, maybe we would have been screwed by not signing him but Jerry got us in this mess to begin with. My feeling was pay Dak whatever needed to get out of that contract, take our lumps for a year while finding Dak's replacement. We had the opportunity to do just that by having Try Lance and Cooper Rush to get us through this last year while finding Dak's replacement. Instead, Jerry renews Dak's contract making us have to wait that much longer...

im fine with stating the facts..Dak has laid some eggs in the playoffs, it makes you look dumb to call him a bus driving backup..literally you cant bring one fact that says he shouldnt be a starting QB in this league ..not one...why does it have to be so far on each end..Dak is a qaulity starting NFL QB who got paid too much by a dumb GM that has 30 years of failure at building teams...why is that so hard?

Yeah I would agree, the extreme takes on Dak are out of control. Dak is fine, but hes not special. Hes a starting caliber but mediocre to above average QB in the league at this point who got paid like the top guy. Combine that with a GM/owner with zero intentions of going out of his way to load up on talent to truly compete and we are left with fans frustrated and finger pointing.

Dude needs all pros at every position.. He's 60 million dollar hood ornament, that got another coached who needs the ball taken out of his hands now for the team to be successful. He's not getting younger, his athletic ability is in the tank, dude tore his muscle throwing a pass. He's overpaid and over hyped it is what it is. We're stuck dragging him until we can dump him and that awful contract. Now we got another HC that no team wanted to coach him up.

Some put him in the category of guys like Dilfer, Brad Johnson or Nick Foles and that if surrounded by enough talent and on his 5th playcaller in year 10 that he could all of a sudden get the job done.

Others have witnessed a true condition called playoff phobia. And regardless of coaching or personnel support can not see him beating 4 consecutive playoff teams and a SB win.

Up to each fan as to their personal opinion.
I'm not of the first above listed category of fan but of the second one.

He's a good QB, he is not awful by any means.....just needs to figure it out in the big games. Its not all him but injuries and father time are catching up, the window is starting to close for him IMO.

Our best QBs since Aikman 30 years ago have been an undrafted QB and a 4th round draft pick. Think about that!

This sums up the biggest problem with the Dallas Cowboys during this time.
