Oh.

Cobb had over 800 yards as the putative #3 WR in 2019 which is sandwiched around a plethora of sub-500 yard seasons on either side of his tenure here when his QBs were Rodgers and a pre-awful Watson.
I’m not sure why you describe Cobb as the ‘putative #3 WR in 2019’ … he was DEFINITELY signed to fill the slot receiver position vacated by Cole Beasley’s depart In FA. No receiver is married to X Y or Z - but THAT was the intention, with Cooper and Gallup (options A and B) lining up outside. And that is pretty much the way the season played out, too.

What's hilarious is that I present factual evidence comparing the state of the Dallas Cowboys early this season to the past five weeks, and the only response from the other side is "Dak sucks". Even if Rush played all season the record of this team would be the same. Because, aside from Rush's horrible game against the Eagles back in November, quarterback has not been this team's issue.

But okay, "Dak sucks". Just keep retreating into that corner whenever something that even slightly takes away from the agenda manifests itself.

I am so sorry the Cowboys re-signed a quarterback that 15 to 20 people here just don't like. I guess this forum serves as kind of a support group for you all.
You need to rethink those numbers seriously................ :muttley:

Robinson was a TRUE flash in the pan - with his LONE FLASH occuring the season he played in Dallas and paired with Romo.

Your example, Cobb, played for THIRTEEN seasons in the NFL. He also managed to land on IR in each of FOUR NFL seasons SUBSEQUENT to his year in Dallas (one with HOU, two with GB, and one with NYJ).

Apples and oranges? That’s what I see.
Robinson flashed with the Falcons and Rams too. Couldn’t stay healthy.

And he had the best season on the back half of his career.

Robinson’s NET in four seasons prior to Dallas/Romo: about 1000 yards and four TDs. Please, point to the ‘flash.’
I don’t know what to tell you. He was injured 2 out of 4 years prior to joint Dallas but also showcased his ability with the Falcons and Tams even though both teams were extremely poor at QB in those years.

My bad. I guess I was only factoring in the majority that posts here often. I was wrong. But 409 also sounds like lots of people are blinded by immediacy bias. Dak is by no means perfect but the same issues are hurting him that hurt Tony Romo and the QB's before him. The inability of this team to play complementary football on a consistent basis.

It's been the same story for three decades and to me it all goes back to Jerry Jones. But that is another topic completely. And, when the day comes when Dak is gone, I am sorry to say the same issues will befall the new quarterback....barring a massive organizational shift.

I think you might have some logic flaws there. Yes....800+ is pretty decent, but you say he didn't fit here. Maybe he fits even less on those other teams....now re united with even worse Rodgers.

I'm reluctant to find the real truth in singular or linear data. There's a lot of chaos in our universe. I think we all too often chose what fits our preconceived notions.
Cobbs career numbers rely on more than just a couple things.

This is NOT hate or bias it's fans whose 29 years of frustrations have come home as one might say.
The QB position for the Dallas Cowboys is HOT seat # 1 in the NFL and to be as polite as possible Dak has failed to deliver esp against playoff-caliber teams.
A change ASAP is needed and mandatory.
GL with that contract our problem # 1 problem gave him before this season's kick-off.
Dak is public enemy # 1 for our Cowboy Nation and his fellow players.......hey you get the big bucks you get the heat that comes with it!!!

His numbers were similar to Robinson’s in 2011, absent the TDs, which is probably just statistical noise.

And Cobb fit in fairly well here but he was an aging player who would have commanded more than we were willing to pay. At any rate they drafted Lamb in the first that year and it more or less worked out.
