Dak is the best QB in NFL; Cowboys SB(win) bound

Rather than enter into the pissing match that ensued from this comment I will simply offer this rebuttal to your take. Dak is the best player on this offense for one simple reason.. He is asked to do more than any other player on the offense.. Really the entire team. Zack Martin is asked to do one thing.. block the guy in front of him.. which he does extremely well. He doesn't make the line calls.. The center does.. he doesn't snap the ball.. The center does .. He is occasionally asked to pull and block in space. Which he does extremely well. Meanwhile Dak is asked to 1) take the call from the OC, 2) relay the call to the huddle, 3) coordinate the line calls with the center and the rest of the line, 4) survey the defense and decide if the called play is good for the defense being shown, 5) change the play if it's not or 6) execute the play as called. 7) read the defensive coverage both before and after the snap, 8) throw the ball to the proper receiver based on the read... and that doesn't even include running out of trouble when the protection breaks down or fielding some of these scattershot snaps Biadasz sends back to him. Dak has waaaay more on his plate on a play by play basis and he executes his responsibilities as well anyone in the NFL right now. Zack is wonderful.. but he has a job that is 1/10 as complex and challenging as the one Dak has.

Okay that was more than one simple reason.. it was more like 10.. but you get the gist.

I am very impressed with the way Dak has managed the "data" portion of his game. I was a bit worried about his physicals coming off the injury...but he he seems good there.

But the mental aspect and decision making....outstanding improvement. Along with KM of course. I'm rarely scratching my head like "what in gorjia's name was THAT call?". They just seem to be calling the right plays, audibles and executing so much better.

This is absolutely huge. I said a couple of weeks ago that Dak has entered into that territory where the QB can make it so the defense is ALWAYS wrong. He comes to the line, sees what the defense is doing and gets us into the correct play based on what he sees. If multiple people don't get beat on the line whatever play he gets us into will be successful. If it's just one guy Dak will run away from him or shake him off. Watching it has me excited because we have this guy for as long as we want him.. I will be retired and on social security before we need a new QB..

Martin is the best or second best guard in the NFL....its about value of a player and his position to the team. I bet no one can name the 8 starting guards for AFC and NFC championship games in the past three years without looking it up, but everyone know who the QBs were and probably who the RBs were or the LT.

I really like Martin, so don't get me wrong, its just that he is a guard. you don't win a championship because you have the best guard in the league.....that doesn't mean you can plug anybody in there and expect good results...you can do it with a good guard....

so to your point, which I agree with, Dak is the best offensive player on the team....Martin is the best guard.....

Bye week hot takes are the best hot takes. :muttley:

Not to mention that Dak has the best completion percentage over the past 2 season when under pressure.

Dak will be the best overall player in league by seasons end

How are you clueless folk liking Wondah Boi(Patty Mahomes ) now!

I told you that Burrow was the best QB to come into the draft since Peyton

A QB I was wrong about? Lamar Jackson. But nobody told me that Tommie Frazier’s 1995 offense would work in the NFL.

I thought the Cowboys would actually play a little better the past four games

I’m ready to get to Brady and the Title game! It will be a passing of the torch!

Pats will be a good team by seasons end… for alll the Belichik can’t win without Brady dolts out there

I still think Goff is better than Stafford. #FreeGoff The rah-rah guy at coach for the Lions sucks

I would like to thank the Eagles for stating a career backup and trading away a potential stud. Than you

When will the dolts in front offices throughout the league realize that Ohio State QBs suck! Just say no. Ain’t that what Nancy said? These buffoons will talk themselves into drafting the latest OSU QB though

I expect the Cowboys to be a freight train by seasons end, cause no team in the NFC has more young talent that has the ability to grow than your Dallas Cowboys

Fitting the NFL is bringing the 90s back with its halftime show, since the team of the 90s will be winning that SB!

Nothing has changed with Dak other than the team around him. Same with Mahomes. Same with Burrows, although Burrows is getting better with maturation still.

You act like its still the preseason calling this: "Cowboys will be a freight train". LOL

Little late to the game at 5-1 arent you?

Some of you will never understand the fact that the team around the QB matters just as much if not more than the QB himself.

Guys need to chill with the SB talk. The NFC is a lot tougher than the AFC this year. The Bucs when healthy match up well against the Cowboys.
Agreed. NFC playoffs will present us with some damn good football being played. :D

There are too many games left to play. Dak looked great for half a season in 2019 too. Then he played poorly until the final game of the season that didn't count for anything. He looks great right now, but we are not even halfway through the season yet. Let's get 12 games behind us and see where he and the team are.

Its QB challenged fans like you that will never understand that the team around the QB matters. Coaching matters. Its been obvious since day 1 how great Dak would be.

Some of you have never been able to get over that. Even now you hope for it all to fall apart so you can tell yourself you were right about him all along.

check them dates. Before Burrow was a mainstream prospect. You guys love cowherd. Cowherd was negative about Burrow. Cowherd was Tua >>> Burrow. I knew Burrow was a stud after only ONE DAMN PLAY

I’m the baddest Mutha that has ever walked God’s green earth!

Im Game75

I think we have awesome chance to get to SB this year but I see enough holes in the defense and enough great teams out there to give us a serious challenge getting there and especially winning. It’s def a possibility though.

I'll admit...I couldn't stand Dak mainly because of his inaccuracy...over throwing...underthrowing, etc...

However, this year I am not seeing that nearly as often. I was thinking about it the other day....who would I rather have be our QB other than Dak right now. I came to the conclusion that right now, it's nobody but Dak for me....this is a complete 180.

Hopefully, the OC keeps everything going as it is and not getting away from the run like we did in week one.

Son, go play and learn some football. Maybe by then you will learn who is the most valuable position player on any team. Then add that knowledge to today's Cowboys. Voila...you will finally realize how Dak is the most important and best player on this team.

QB is the most important position but Zach is the best player on this roster.

This is a bad take on fans like me.

6 games in and all the praise and blind love, let's see where the team is at the end of the season.

Zack Martin is in fact the best player on offense. He may not be the most valuable but he is the best. Dak is the most valuable player on offense.

Yes, right now Dak is the best QB in the NFL. Things can change, but right now he is.

Brady is still the best QB in the NFL.

But Dak is playing well enough to be ranked the second best QB.
