There you go acting dumb once again trying to pick another fight with me. Why? If Dak is no longer here, I'll keep on supporting the team no matter what.
You're the one trying to pick a fight. I said we wouldn't agree on Dak and you had to throw in the "well he's here to stay, will you be miserable? I'm worried about you" shot as if I didn't know we were stuck with the choker due to his contract. Don't play the victim when you throw the first punch this time, my friend. I simply replied in kind with your own tactic against you. If you don't want me talking to you like that, don't talk to me like that. It's simple.

I was being serious "friend". But since you admitted just now how you know Dak isn't going anywhere, why keep acting out? It's not a good look.

I would agree that BB only comes to Dallas if Dak gets an extension. BB is past developing QBs, and has spoken very highly of Dak in the past.

Now if Jerry were to seriously look at a guy like Harbaugh I could see that as an indication we may see a fresh start at QB, or give Lance a real chance to play.
If Dak wants an extension then he better give the Brady deal and take less so they can build a team around him and I don’t think that will happen. Yes I know that Brady could do that because at the time his wife made more than him. Still it is a choice he has to make

mmhmm, sure. I was being serious about worrying about you too, but found your method of communication insulting and communicated back in the exact same way, which you took offense at. That's proof that you knew what you were doing. I think it's best if we stop talking for now since you know what you did and tried to play the victim. Have a nice day, AC. We'll talk later.

I like option #2 better!

Sure. You can go back to your choker rants. Hope you feel better soon.

Sometimes I wonder if people actually understand football. The only reason Bellichik had success was because of the "patriot way"
The patriot way was basically having an elite QB that had success and that was willing to take verbal abuse in front of the team after wins...

Think about that for a minute.

Tom Brady has said people doubting him led a fire under him. From what we've seen from Prescott, do we really believe Dak would thrive under that amount of scrutiny?

LMAO

Also, Bellichik had success because players (Brady included) were willing to take pay cuts in order to win. Does anyone see Dak or Parsons doing that?

LMAO

Dak has been coddled his whole career, Bellichik would destroy him. They literally cut Romo so Dak wouldn't have to look over his shoulder.

Bellichik without the patriot way is just a name.

Dak Prescott isn't a patriot way type of player, he's not mentally strong enough.

Stop with the nonsense!

Do you think Bill wants to go through the troubles of developing a young QB, given his ordeals after Brady, especially with Matt Jones? Rather than build a great team around Dak?

In the last 25 or so years, more QBs of his caliber or less (Dilfer, Brad Johnson, Eli, Flacco, Wilson, Foles, Stafford) have won the superbowl than those who are elite (Warner, Brady, Roethlisberger, Peyton, Brees, Rodgers and Mahomes). And there’s an argument to be made about Warner and Brees.

Great teams built around the winners skews the results to make it seem like only great QBs win. Which is telling in itself.

Only if Dak turns that 1year 2024 contract of 59MM to a $120MM and 6 years. DAL can’t pay a QB like Dak $40MM. He is barely worth $15MM

This is the only franchise that is ok with mediocrity and try to force the notion that Dak is an elite QB ignoring the facts that he is not a dynamic QB.

Jimmy Garappollo took the 49ers to a Superbowl and had several playoff wins, their front office didn't blink an eye to give up premium picks in search of the right guy and still made the playoffs. The Jones are a hindrance to this franchise and they will stick with Dak the same way they stuck with Jason Garrett.
You must have never seen Garappolo play. They won despite his poor play which is why they looked for better.

If you are FORCED to keep Dak, once you get to the play offs, you have to ease him into the flow of the offense. You have to start with a few short passes, screens, etc. As the game moves forward, Dak finally gets hot. You can't come out swinging like an aggressive fighter. This means you need a defense who is strong enough to hold the opponents back until Dak's nerves get under control.

And I've said this a couple of times in the game day thread, you have to be a special type of QB to put up with being the most highly profile player in the world. The QB for the Dallas Cowboys.

What kind of offense does Harbaugh run? What would he run here?

Neither Belichick nor Harbaugh are coming here. Both would want too much power and JJ is not about to give that up.

You know Belichick wants to harness this firepower on defense too. Micah, DLaw, Osa, Diggs... there are some high end pieces.
LOL Stop.

Lawrence is finishing up his good not great career and what the bleep has Osa ever done to be considered a high end piece? He's not even starter quality. The dude starts at 3 tech and will go at least a calendar year between sacks.

No on both options....BB is too old, stubborn and just as egocentric as Jerry....and Dak has turned out to be a coach killer. No thanks....

If Belichick comes to Dallas he will want more freedom with personnel decisions. I don't think Jerry will agree to that.

But if he does, Belichick will focus on running the football more. I do not think he will build around Dak. I think he will build a running game around Dak The biggest difference with Belichick will be the defense. He wants stout defenses that stop the run. He likes big men up front and DEs that stop the run first, then rush the passer. He likes big smart LBs that play aggressively, and like Jimmy Johnson, he does not like dumb players (bye-bye Sam Williams).

I thought he was smart. :muttley:

I'd rather have Stoops...his last team won the whole shootin match.

Don’t make any major decisions today. Revisit this in a month when you’re less emotional.
Disagree. This isn't a one say decision. We've given MM ample time and he's gone as far as he can. There will NEVER be an easier path to the conference championship and he **** the bed. You need to be aggressive now and get your guy.
