Dak is trying to scam the Cowboys

He wants to be highest paid, based off what? He has issues with accuracy, can't carry a team on his back, and only has a high percentage throwing the ball because most of his throws are short range

Real fans don't need numbers to see he struggles with throwing a WR open ( if you have proof post a video of him doing it multiple times), throwing in tight windows, and deep/intermediate passes.

He knows this, he knows he's not that good. He knows this is his only chance to cash out, because he knows he might get exposed as not to good(like flacco), especially if Zeke doesn't play.

He's trying to scam us and strong arm us because really and truly I do agree with him, right now we have no better option. Doesn't make him a great option, just a convenient option. He knows Jerry can get desperate.

Let the guy play and show the world who he really is. If he balls out, I'll for sure rue. But I doubt he can put together a great season, and wow most of us.
Wait how many seasons has Wentz played without missing time also how many playoff games has he won answer NONE & the Eagles gave him a big contract & you claim Dak is trying to hold up the Cowboys .

What quarterback doesn't want to be the highest paid? Brady? Just because he has a millionaire wife and is willing to take less so the team can pay others doesn't mean he doesn't want to be the highest paid, sure he'd like that but for those reasons he takes less. I've no problem with Dak ASKING for top dollar, we'll see what he takes to sign a new contract, that's what matters. Even if he got the highest contract, in a year or two it won't be, the market always goes up. He may well realize he's never going to be an elite quarterback, but most of us would ask for as much as we can, that's just human nature.

Yes he has issues with accuracy, but it's a matter of degree, if he was more accurate they'd still be people who complained about him, no quarterback has everything, Brady can't run well, Aikman threw a ton of ints, even later in his career, Roger lost SBs and fumbled in the SB a lot, for all his accolades Favre threw a ton of ints as well. Dak is durable, can run, has a low int rate.

Can't carry a team on his back? How many quarterbacks can? Very, very few. What happens if you have that guy, and he's hurt? The whole team falls apart. Nice to have one of those, but it's a risky proposition to base your SB hopes on one player.

As far as the short range throws, that's the Cowboys offense in particular, and the West Coast offense in general, if it wins games, who cares if he never throws a pass over 10 yards? Maybe he can't throw long well, but it's not necessarily an essential thing to be successful.

I get it, you want a better quarterback. So do most of us, but the constant whining about how Dak "isn't good enough" is getting tiring, and rather pointless because barring injury or some extraordinary fall down in play, he WILL be the Dallas quarterback for the next few years.

Let's move on to other subjects, how about?

No kidding that's the point get him signed to a contract that is good for the club & the player what don't you understand !

....what don't you understand that Dak is seeking to be paid more or similar to Wentz? Just because the Eagles screwed up does not mean we have to as well.

It's whataboutism to bring up Wentz. "Yeah, Dak is asking for too much, but how about Wentz" - this argument that we MUST match the market despite a player being average is ridiculous and a good way to destroy your cap.
