5 ints on paper IS bad. In a game where possession is so critical, important, and vital, turning the ball over that many times will just kill your team.
Yeah, in his career, he had 2 games with 5 picks....many of them were a bit fluky...fwiw.
And......Dallas actually won one of them:laugh:
So strange.

Of course, obviously, when he finally played with an offense, run game, and o-line like we have now, he became the first QB in NFL history to lead the league in QB rating in both the regular season and playoffs.

No, you're not reading my post correctly.

Every QB makes inaccurate passes in most of their games to open guys.

That's what you don't understand because you didn't read my post correctly.

They're human, not robots on your video game.

The good defenses require more good throws...just like the Giants do. If Dez doesn't get nudged out of position and makes the catch...if Collins doesn't make that great play on the pass to T-Will. If JPP is not constantly forcing Dak to throw out of rhythm...the game is completely different even with the missed throws.

But as Dick MacPherson liked to say...if if's and but's were candy and nuts, every day would be Christmas.

I think perhaps you're not reading right, or assuming I am saying something I am not. Nobody said QBs don't make inaccurate passes ever. It was the quantity of them in this game. And not just that they were inaccurate, but that they were wildly inaccurate in many instances. You can say the Giants require more good throws, but that wasn't the case last night. They didn't require some great throws on all these plays that were missed (or on most that they hit on). Okay throws would have sufficed. You can point to a few examples where really good throws were needed and the defense made things difficult, but that is not what I am talking about. If that had been the case all game, and on all of these other plays, you'd have a point, but it wasn't.

And I think you severely overrate the impact JPP had last night.

Not a up the sideline burner............the extra looks should've been more slants and cross....that is where he got his yards tonight.

Brother, you are preaching to the color about Dez running more slants.

24 of 39, 268 yards, a TD to Witten, 90.5 rating... That's not "bad". I suspect whatever was off will get fixed and we'll see a better Dak in week 2.

He missed some really easy throws in the first half, but I am not going to worry about it since it is week 1.

They clearly have him doing a lot more this year than he was last season.

Right. He has had so little playing time so far.

Plus, you know, Romo ALWAYs connected on his easy throws.

Of corse he missed but his style made him a threat to sling it anywhere at any time.

I can't help but think that Daks style of QB may just be what the doctor ordered for this Denver balhawking defense. Broncos ranked 19th against the run the last 2 seasons according to espn so a strong running offense plus a QB who doesn't turn the ball over may be the key

I think it's just a matter of what type of QB style one prefers.

Exactly! They're totally different styles. Dak's style fits this team well. Take care of the ball, move the chains.

Romo's style was necessary for the years of dreadful offensive lines and mediocre running games. The game often had to be won by Romo's arm. That's just not Dak's nature.

Babe tweeted something after the game, it was really hot in the stadium and Dak was sweating badly and wasn't wearing a sweat band on his right wrist. He suspected some of the wildness was the ball slipping because of all the sweat.

I like Dak but he can't handle pressure. His reads are horrible and he lacks pocket presence. The teams that had the most success against us last year were the ones that blitzed and forced him to make decisions. Pretty easy to look good when he's surrounded by an all star cast.
