I didn't think he had an outstanding game with some missed throws, but he also protected the ball and took what the defense gave to him. What you have to consider is his passer rating was a 69 and 45 against the Giants in each of the games last year. He clearly struggled last year with the Giants and this game meant a lot to win and have him play a solid game.

Lol.....are you people for real?

Opening night.

Adversity all offseason

Two new offensive linemen

Facing a defense that was ranked #2 in points allowed, #4 in INT's, and #2 in passing TD's allowed last season.

Facing the Giant secondary, half of them are Pro Bowlers.

Playing a team that beat them twice last season.

The expectations are enormous

And what does he do?

He leads them to victory.

He throws the only TD of the game.

No INT"s

No fumbles.

Has a passer rating that is 90.5 and when you compare it to other QB's in the opening game of their sophomore season, it is better than Eli Manning, Alex Smith, Donovan McNabb, Marcus Marriota, Sam Bradford, Mathew Stafford, Cam Newton, ......

I mention them in particular because they were all #1 or #2 overall picks in their draft.

Last season his QB rating for game #1 was 67.2. Slight improvement?

I'm pretty sure I told you people....you would be clammering for Kellen Moore to be our starter when Prescott plays like crap.

No one there force feeding him the correct reads...

Que? :huh::rolleyes:

Exactly. People expect to see the team at midseason form but the reality is most teams take at least a half to look like their regular season form. I don't blame Dak for taking one quarter when he got so few preseason snaps.

Dak only had 22 passing attempts this preseason, and the other side of the coin is that teams that play their starters a ton in preseason get a lot more players injured.

He wasn't very good. You can't miss Dez on the slant for a TD. But I'm not overly concerned, yet.

Wish I could give this one multiple likes.

So when he plays our biggest division rival who has a top 5 defense in the league and completes 61% of his passes with a TD, zero ints and runs for some key first downs and oh yeah,
Wins, we're gonna have turds on here saying he stunk for portions of the game? Go watch
Golf, this ain't for you. He played just like he needed to play to be 1-0 and never put the team in bad position with a turnover. Ridiculous.

Dak was ok tonight, he missed some key throws in the redzone and just seemed to be a little off all night. It was far from one of his better games but his performances last yr maybe just make for a tough comparison. I think he will be fine.

He only had 22 passing attempts in the Preseason, its understandable that it took a quarter of this game for him to get locked in.

Forget the bad throws in the end zone, the bigger problem is why we didn't run the ball once during that series. Way to muck that up Linehan
