Yeah, sure. Had nothing to do with defenses being neutered from touching the WR or the QB. Hell of a lot easier to design an offense when the WR's get to run free without fear of getting blown up when the ball arrived. Not to mention the 2004 "Emphasis" on defensive holding in the secondary, followed up by the 2014 "Re-Emphasis" on it.Qb play got better and offenses got smarter…
None of that correlates to a passing boom.
