Every era says the same thing about the previous ones. It’s the age old argument. Get used to it, it’s going to keep changing as long as the game is played. In an era where N.F.L. defenses play with one hand tied behind their backs.
Lol, and neither one of them have even sniffed anything more than a divisional playoff game. Talking about a low bar. Seriously, when the top 2 franchise QB’s (EVER) with the most TD passes haven’t even won a divisional playoff game you should know something is wrong.
More stats my friend! They said Dak needs 4 more sacks, and he'll be tied with Dan Marino for the most sacks in his first 10 seasons without a 2nd round win in the playoffs lolHow many playoff wins does he need to catch up to Aikman and Staubach?

The last 30 years has made fans forget what matters most. It's unfortunate, but celebrating stats is all they're left with.More stats my friend! They said Dak needs 4 more sacks, and he'll be tied with Dan Marino for the most sacks in his first 10 seasons without a 2nd round win in the playoffs lol
You don't say...... So it's only an individual thing when we're propping Dak, right? The 2020's teams need quite a few playoff wins to catch up to the success the 90's and 70's teams were able to achieve.
Aikman and Staubach didn't win any games by themselves.
Just like Tony did.In a era where N.F.L. defenses play with one hand tied behind their backs.
Yes, just like Tony did. All QB stats started inflating beginning in 2009 when the biggest wave of safety rules for QB's began. There were some minor rules changes going back to 1993, but the biggest changes came later, right at the beginning or Romo's career. Without those changes Dak and Romo's stats would be more in line with Aikman's, minus the playoff stats, of course.Just like Tony did.![]()

That's literally the point he's making. The game is vastly different today than it was in the 90s. And there's an extra game.Every era says the same thing about the previous ones. It’s the age old argument. Get used to it, it’s going to keep changing as long as the game is played.
I don't even understand why players have stats. It should just all be lumped into "offense" and "defense" since there are no individuals making a play happen. Need to change the HOF too. Should only be teams inducted.Absolutely not. Dak has never won any games by himself either. See, im not one of those folks here that have one standard for one set of quarterbacks, but a different standard for a different set of quarterbacks in the same identical situations.
Football is a team game. No quarterback who has ever lived, who's currently alive, and future unborn quarterbacks have ever or will never win a football game by themselves.
Is that clear enough for you my friend? No double standards or hypocrisy here!!
