I think Dak needs to play like he is Manning and Brady. I enjoy watching qb's who can scramble, leave the pocket, make plays happen, but not as much as I enjoyed watching those 2 work in the pocket. I am not saying dak will be as good in the pocket as them, but

Brady and Manning
-move in the pocket, if the sack is coming tuck the ball and go down
-throw the ball away
-throw to the rb to avoid pressure
-have quick slants available

If the offensive line play is subpar, or takes time to develop:
1.How do you think the cowboys can counter that?
2.How do you think Dak should play?
3.Do you think the cowboys can be in the top 15 in offense?
4.Can the cowboys make the playoffs?

I think dak needs to tuck the ball and go down and throw it away over trying to make plays. Let the defense and special teams give opportunities and win field position. Our punter is a major weapon.

Neither Brady nor Manning would have done what they've done behind poor protection.

Prescott needs to play like Mahomes and Allen. The pocket could be a trap for him with this OL.

My point was that they went down when nothing was there and took sacks, and they threw the ball away. They also utilized throwing to rb's more than most qbs do. Those are all things Dak can and should do this year. He has a strong defense and special teams to allow him to keep himself and the ball safe. He doesn't have to play like romo, when romo had to make plays to win

I also think zeke should run like Barry sanders.
I'd rather Zeke run more like Emmitt Smith, that way Dallas would at least have a better chance of winning games because Barry Sander might have been electric to watch with some of his runs, but he would have many negative runs, wasn't a gretat blocker and inside the twenty he wasn't that effective. one was a running back(Sanders) the other is a Rusher(Smith)

Alright I still disagree but after rereading your post it deserves more than a snarky reply.

The Brady’s and mannings were good enough to take sacks because they could convert the 3rd and 12s. For this cowboys team that will be a pretty rare occurrence. Dak needs to not turn the ball over but this offense needs to focus on staying ahead of the chains. 2nd and 7s, 3rd and 3s are key. Negative plays and a low completion % I fear would be the death of this offense.

keep it in situations where KM will run the football and let dak take his shots when the matchups are there.

i do agree with getting the RBs more involved in the pass game though. Sounds like that’s the way plan, we shall see if it sticks.

Do you really not think Dak and his weapons will be making plays and converting 3rds? He won't be scoring 30-45 points like has the last few seasons, but 20-30's is very possible. He has defense and special teams, and doesn't need to take risks

Barry quit, how is that passion?

Zeke quit after he got paid. Apparently that makes them 2 peas in a pod, huh? At least Barry toughed it out for 10 seasons with one of the worst franchises in NFL history, or at least the last 60 years. A person can only take so much.

Never once in Payton Mannings career has he ever thrown for 4,900 yards. Dak Prescott has. The only person Dak need to be is Dak and this team will be fine. He done things neither Manning or Brady have done in this league and it's about damn time he gets the respect he deserves.

I was not down talking dak or what he has done. I was talking about how he needs to play this year for them to win with bad offensive line play. The thread title was actually QB style until it got changed. My whole point is that he needs to take those things brady and manning would do, go down in the pocket, throw the ball away, use the rbs in the passing game, to stay healthy and not turn the ball over

He played 10 seasons for a horrible organization, and seems to have all brain cells intact. That is passionate enough for most people.

Yes but that was not the context of that post.

I did not see any quit in him.
I seen OL injuries, then I seen no QB as Dak went out, and he played with a knee injury.
