Dak needs to run!

THANK YOU!!! I feel like I’m the only one seeing these wide open fields in front of him and rather than running for 6-7 yards, he will will chunk the ball just before getting to the line of scrimmage, generally into double coverage!!!

Be a leader! Take one or two of those and man up! It will MOTIVATE your offense to MAN UP around you!!!

I get so annoyed when all these analysts talk about all these stats but never mention how much of a MENTAL GAME football is.

Sorry for rambling…
Hope you found it worth your time.
How ‘bout dem Cowboys!!!! :yourock:

Team is not going to win big games if he refuses to take off and gain some yards with his legs. Can’t play scared worried about getting hurt. If lanes open up take off and get the easy yards.

I do think that's one thing that could help. He's not showing a willingness to take off when lanes open, just rolling out and continuing to look to throw. It takes away one threat that the defense has to worry about. He doesn't have to try to plow over defenders, just take what's there and get down.

There have been times when he should've run, but I saw someone post earlier that he had a clear field in front of him and would have had an easy first down on a play in which there was a defender right in his face when he threw the ball. I had to go back and look to see if I was seeing things, but nope, he would've been sacked if he'd tried to run. Sometimes the field isn't as open as it looks on TV.

That said, yes he should run more...and roll out more instead of being a stationary target.

You not the only one. Several people including me and analysts have said this. I think he doesn’t want to get hurt or be known as a running qb.

When QB’s start seeing ghosts out there like Dak seems to be, it’s terribly difficult to bring them back.

He has to start trusting his instincts in the pocket again and stop worrying about getting injured. Easier said than done.

Ever have your foot ripped off your leg then play a game against 300lb monsters? Just curious. He will get back to his dual threat option when he is ready.

I don't know how effective Dak is as a runner since his injury. He looks a little slower to me, which perhaps is why you haven't seen it as much. However, would like to see Dak trust his legs a little more especially in these short to intermediate 3rd and 4th downs.

Do believe....dual threat....is a thing of the past, he has no burst at all.

Saw a few ,,,,run Dak..tonight, he couldn't and knows it, ouch!!!

Definately not who he was,

Another Dak screwed up thread.. SMH. Just enjoy the win.

I’m willing to admit that there are times it looks clear as day in real time on TV, but actually down there in the thick of it, he can see things we can’t. But I don’t think I have seen him scramble more than twice in our last few games and not for any significant yardage. He’s certainly not trying to make something happen with his legs like Hill was tonight.

Oh I agree, he needs to be more than one dimensional. Not only does it add a weapon to the arsenal, but when he fakes a keeper, it isn't gonna sell very well if he never actually runs it.

Not sure if you've seen the last few games but he can't run. I think it's the calf strain limiting him but right now he looks bad when he's tried. He's much slower than normal too.

I am enjoying the win! AND I’m a Dak supporter!!! BUT… it doesn’t change facts. Hill looked like a $40 million QB, at least from the waist down. We need those legs on Dak’s body. And we used to have them. Is he hurt? Or still emotionally struggling with almost losing his career? If he’s afraid to run and DCs know that, it’s a HUGE game planning advantage.

How about Zeke, does he need to run?

Absolutely!!! He is a statue anymore and defenses are not worried that he will take off anymore. Also, what happened to the options with Zeke? Those worked great. I know we need to keep him healthy, but he can slide.

I think the truth is Dak is still dealing with that calf. He can roll out a little, but I think it is also affecting his accuracy.

I also think Dak clearly has lost a step since having that gruesome injury. I noticed it before he hurt his calf. Still, I think having the threat is a great thing.
