Dak: NFL's best

Sorta like the Packer game? That we.....Oh yeah-won

If any QB throws picks & gives the ball away, generally it's not good. It like predicting the lottery is hitting, we know it's gonna happen...that's not rocket science

Dak is playing well within our system, so let's hope our D & O continue success

Dak is playing fantastic within Linehan's system. We need our secondary to continue to play lights out and cover for our anemic dline, and we need Tank to show up

Every single one of those guys had significant help. Ask them, they'll tell you the same thing. Football is never about one position. Ever. See Denver last year.

Denver had an all time elite d, QB was meaningless. Denver was a single facet team (defense)
i.e. not team, rather d.

(I know you have me on ignore, but I still like replying to you lol)

Look at the Cardinals when Palmer doesn't play. They're awful. Great roster that only works with him.

Bills, Jets, and Texans continue to go through the same thing every year it seems.

To be fair, even when Carson plays they look meh this year

And it's no surprise that none of those teams has ever won a Super Bowl (get NYJs pre-merger SB outta here), because they all have multiple problems and always have. You have to look no further than Denver last year. Manning was the worst QB in the league and they beat Carolina up in the SB. There is not simply one model (the elite franchise QB model) that can be used to win big. Would I choose to win like Denver did or Baltimore used to? No. But it can and has been done successfully multiple times, and the reason why is that it isn't ALL about the QB and never has been.

That was a transcendent defense. If you don't have one, your QB has to be elite.

Look around the NFL. Even starting QBs that are simply "solid" make a bajillion dollars all over the NFL, and many of them (and their teams) are still worthless, because they're surrounded by trash. This isn't the NBA where you can go to the Finals every year with one superstar and a bunch of spares.
What NBA team is going tot he Finals every year with one superstar and a bunch of spares?

Which proves my point. It's never ALL about the QB. It can be in certain cases (not with this Dallas team), but certainly not always. There are multiple ways to skin this cat. QB is not the only avenue to do so.

He's actually looking for the open guy now.
The offense is completely different. Vertical passing game is gone and he's throwing shorter safer throws. Not dissimilar to how the Charges have run their offense for years.

Your point was that it "needed to be all three facets" (paraphrase)

Denver was a single facet team, hence not team. Pure D. The antithesis of your argument.

Yes, I know I'm on ignore, Air Force.

No, he's got to play the same as he has. If he does, they'll win because the Cowboys are just a better team all the way around from a matchups standpoint.

There's a reason elite QBs makes a bajillion dollars more than everybody else.

Terrance Williams can have an off game. So can Tyrone Crawford. Dak can not.

You shouldn't have brought up money at all and say Dak should have to do anything. Brock Osweiler is making 37 million guaranteed combined this year and next and he's utter trash. Dak makes 450k this season. He doesn't have to do anything he's already played light years better than Brock ever will for pennies on the dollar compared to what Brock is making, and Brock is not the only QB making huge bucks that looks bad. Heck Wentz is making way more than Dak just because he was the #2 overall pick, 26 million all guaranteed with a 17.6 million dollar signing bonus.

QBR is superior to qb rating.
QBR is a massive joke. Sorry.

In fact, I think if you just google "ESPN QBR a joke" the results and evidence will overwhelm you.

it's laughing stock of the sport world outside of ESPN
:espn:

That in no way takes away from how well Dak has played through 6 games.

He's playing well. Elite? No.

This week is completely on him. If he doesn't turn it over and plays well, the Cowboys win.
Lol

What happened to the team concept. I don't recall Romo losing a game on his own?

True.

Though thousands will tell you that he has...even if he throws for 500 yards, 5 Tds..but has one solo, late game pick. And even if the other team scored 49 points and never punted one time.
It was HE who lost the game.
