Well yeah, but the defence played like wet paper bags for the most part. We just need a few more stops, especially in critical parts of the game. That's where the biggest issue was. When we needed a stop, the defence couldn't get it.

Won’t disagree with that. They were also put in terrible field position numerous times. We also had turnovers late in the games that could have kept games alive.

Most of the quotes talked about on this forum are between players and teammates. They aren’t talking to fans, so they could care less what a fan has to say. They are saying the exact same things that you’d say if you were a member of a team, supporting and inspiring.

Doesn’t invalidate my statement. Let me try to explain it again. An offensive can’t narrow a 41-14 deficit without the defense making stops. Are you trying to argue the point that it takes both sides of the ball to come back from a big deficit?

Because that is when the haters were shut up as the team was going 1-11 without him and Romo was essentially elevated to idol status. Throughout the season they were predicting how Romo would come back and save the season by running the table. Then when he got hurt against Carolina the excuse was the team brought him back too early. Was just when they quit playing defense against the haters and built him into a better QB than he ever was. It just got worse in 2016.
