He probably wasn’t ready to start over Biadiz…..Once again this team is slow to move on to new and improved talent. If Hoffman is so good why was he not starting last year?
So you are saying he could have beaten him out now?He probably wasn’t ready to start over Biadiz…..
I have no idea. They let Biadiz walk without even offering him a deal. That tells me they at least thought they could get similar or better production. So you are saying he could have beaten him out now?
He wasn’t ready to go to war yet. After he dominated against Washington’s backups, he was clearly ready.Once again this team is slow to move on to new and improved talent. If Hoffman is so good why was he not starting last year?
It is still early but if Dak has any input, Hoffman has locked down the starting center job. This kid has worked his butt off.........

Cowboys training camp: Brock Hoffman playing above his undrafted status
Hoffman becoming the “center” of attention.
Here’s what quarterback Dak Prescott recently said about Hoffman:
“Brock’s the man,” quarterback Dak Prescott said. “It’s in his intensity. It’s in his focus, and then that allows the communication to be easier. He’s a guy that gets up there, knows his job responsibility, knows the calls, and then from there, he’s gonna jump on them. And if I want to change something, he makes sure it’s echoed and communicated to the rest of the guys, but there’s just no hesitation in it.”
He could mess up the running game, though, especially with us using an inside-zone scheme. If the offense is forced to stick with a double team longer because Hoffman can't hold his own, then that gives a linebacker a split second longer to get through a gap and get the RB.I don’t get the sense that Brock is going to be a pro bowler. He’s a try hard mid player who deserves credit for working hard in the offseason. Luckily, C blocking assignments aren’t that taxing most of the time so he can be serviceable and even good if he masters the mental part of it. He’s got all pros on his left and right too
I fear we'll see the same from Hoffman, possibly worse. Being intense and a great communicator doesn't mean you can hold your ground or move bodies.I will never understand why we didn't upgrade from Biadasz or at least bring in competition. He was always the weak link in the line, constantly getting blown back and collapsing the pocket.
Make BB a DT

Don’t get me wrong. Brock Hoffman was by far my worst rated lineman last preseason, and he was AWFUL when he played during the season. I’ll be watching and grading the preseason games again this year in depth. I’m gonna give him a clean slate, but In practice he gets walked back pretty quick by an inferior D Line so I’m nervous as heck about himHe could mess up the running game, though, especially with us using an inside-zone scheme. Training camp is such a mixed bag. You have the defensive coordinator saying good things about Mazi. The QB saying good things about Hoffman. And you have to wonder if both are getting some praise because they are going against each other.Don’t get me wrong. Beat me to it.......a thread showing how far Hoffman has come but leave it to Dak critics to use it to attack him. Some hate for him has gone way beyond football. It's kinda crazy investing so much emotion for a guy that cares no more than two cents about you.Jebus some of you guys!!!!!!!!
That's code for stick to the thread topic.
Dak used to say all the right things to the media etc, till this year. Now he doesn't care, he just wants more money. Lots more money.Dak, the question is not who you want to go to war with.
Its rather: who wants to go to war with you?
I seriously doubt Hoffman does. And i dont think there is one player on this team who does.
Nobody sacrifies his health for a bad player who is only about the money. Camaraderie needs honesty and authenticity. Stuff you may only know from the dictionary. In case you even have one.
But they are all good soldiers and will say all the necessary things to the media.
You don't know what they're practicing though. All these comments about TC are completely worthless in my opinion. Like you said, they wouldn't bash their players in front of the cameras either so there really is nothing to talk about.Training camp is such a mixed bag. This is true. Most of it has to be taken with a grain of salt. You don't know what they're practicing though. All these comments about TC are completely worthless in my opinion. Like you said, they wouldn't bash their players in front of the cameras either so there really is nothing to talk about.
