With all the talk about Zeke shooting for the rookie rushing record its interesting to note that despite this last games bad outing, Dak is the one on pace to rewrite some of the more significant rookie passing records.
At his current pace Dak can surpass and set new records for;
Passing yards in a rookie season, held by Payton Manning at 3,739 yards.
Passing touchdowns in a rookie season, also held by Payton with 26.
Dak has an outside chance to catch or pass Paytons’ rookie record for passing completions held at 326.
Dak can pass Charlie batch for lowest interception percentage at 6 interceptions for 303 attempts.
Dak can pass Ben Roethlisberger for rookie season passer ratings set at 98.1% and completion percentage set at 66.44%.

Daks stats as of now are;
260 completions out of 395 attempts for 3,139 yards with 20 touchdowns and 4 interceptions for a total passer rating of 102.7%.

If the rookie performances of Payton and Ben are a precursor to the careers they had, I think Dak is potentially in place to be as good if not better than those two, from a numbers stand point. Dak has set a great foundation for himself and regardless of how things play out this season he has set himself apart as a potential great to elite quarterback and his first year has to be considered a unanimous success.
Dak gives Dallas a franchise QB for the future with great running capabilities that can scan the field and deliver the ball with accuracy.
What still needs to be seen is how Dak performs under the big lights of the playoffs and how he can perform in the clutch fourth quarter situations when trailing and when he hasn’t had a good game.
If Dak can show he has just a little bit of that 4th quarter Romo magic in him, then the rest of his potential seems to say he will be a great QB for years to come. I'm sure the coaches know what he has accomplished so far and the leadership he has shown, I'm sure its not hard for them to give him the benefit of the doubt after a bad game like this last one and keep rolling with Dak, not based on potential alone, but on proven performance and winning record.
