????

So frustrated Cowboys fans love empty platitudes? Speak for YOURSELF...not anyone else. Seriously, it's the fans that are in love with players that act like our minds are as soft and moist as theirs are....
Did you mean to reply to me because you addressed nothing I said.

Is he throwing his teammates under the bus?
Great leadership!
Well, that's a good point. I wasn't really going that way.

I was genuinely intrigued by what NFL player, coach, scout, trainer, etc., wasn't under the impression that their fortunes could change in a single moment much less a season. Also, they all "say" they are committed to winning championships.

I get that some have gotten paid & secured their legacy but shouldn't they still feel the pressure to perform? Just curious who he was thinking of.

Funny how you’re the first one to jump in when many of these Dak threads are posted. You scan the board and are ready to pounce. You seem to live for this. It’s strange.
Well, in fairness, you seem ready to jump in to defend no matter how innocuous the comment suggesting Dak is anything less than perfect.

Where did I defend Dak? I don’t post in every Dak thread and when I do I’m never the very first response in the thread. I don’t come here looking for attention and to rile up fans with a never ending agenda that’s centered around one player. It’s pretty strange to see someone hang around a post board day after day just looking for every opportunity to bash one player.

My recollection is that you jump in aggressively. It should all be documented. If you don't, then my apologies.

I feel if people were tired of it they wouldn’t post it or enter threads like these so naw I can’t really say people are sick of it.
Bro, it's the offseason and it's about the most important player/position on the team. Of course people will enter this thread.

We've heard from him before about him being pissed and the pour honey comments

I don't see any middle ground with this season.......we either will unexpectedly kill it or fall apart with a top-10 draft pick

Doesn't mean much when you realize that he and Jerry consider last season good enough.
He's a legend in his own mind, and his friends and agent will back his legendary status up.
Just ask them.

I give my opinion on a lot of topics and some choose to jump in aggressively if they don’t like my take, especially when it comes to Dak.

I’m not saying it won’t happened. I’m saying how “tired”’can you be of it if you keep entertaining them?

Key point in the Tweet: "Dak Prescott when asked..."

Fans on this forum act as if Prescott is volunteering this information, rather than just responding as politely as possible to a media question. What is he supposed to say to satisfy negative fans? "Nope, no sense of urgency here at all." Seriously, when criticizing a coach, front office member or player for what he says, can you at least acknowledge that this was only a response to a reporter with an agenda?

I was watching a bit of the pre-Finals press conference yesterday for the Mavericks/Celtics, and both Jason Kidd and Luka Doncic were asked "Why didn't it work in Dallas for Luka and Kristaps Porzingas?" What an asinine question. How the heck would either of them know WHY? No one even has any idea if it would have worked in the long-term because Porzingas was traded. All they know is that the pair never made it to the finals together on the same team. Imagine Aikman being asked a question, "Troy, why don't you think it worked with you and Herschel Walker together?" as a pre-Super Bowl XXVII question. What an idiotic question.

Players, coaches and even front office personnel just respond to reporters who already have a story written, and are fishing for a quote to add to their story. Then fans come along a criticize a player for simply asking a question positively. It's a joke. And the NFL doesn't allow the player to be quiet, because noise is what sells, not silence. That's coming from the NFL office, not the Star.

It's called loyalty and hope. Whatever it is, it's not "secret love" or "unhealthy obsession" or capitulation.

You seem to imply there's only 2 possible feelings: 1) secret love for Dak, 2) open love for Dak. Really?

Why did he disappear for 5 months after his playoff collapse? Does he think we want to hear that he "always" has a sense of urgency? Or that he is a "gambling man" ...when he clearly was seeing ghosts and uncomfortable in the big game hot seat?

Reporters ask questions and players can choose to be PC, see it as a trap or give an honest answer. Some players get that it's about using the platform to communicate with fans. Dak sounds like a CEO who had a bad Q4 and now wants to pretend nothing happened by stating, "We always try to make returns for our investors...". Yeah...that's an empty platitude and not what we want to hear.

the weird thing is why does vegas have them as the 4th best team ??????
that is in nfl not just nfc.
They are seeing the same stuff we do, but are basically predicting dallas to be 12-5 again.

It could be people still bet on dallas to win, so lets give them some hope.
