Gotta love the "Stats Prescott" celebration all while the Dallas trophy case remains empty during his 'leadership'.
Because as everyone here at The Zone knows and understands, Dak has been the final decision maker on every move this team makes from players to coaching staff, to questionable activity with scantily clad self-employed models.

How can we ever trust this franchise again for allowing this quarterback to decide the fate of this franchise?

Maybe, just maybe, we can get Dak to at least go dust that trophy case occasionally. Perhaps during the days Romo takes off. Because wielding that rag and Windex is a real chore.

Here's another stat for those who brilliantly claim Dak has interceptions in his DNA. Dak has 168 career TD passes. There are 75 QBs in NFL history who have thrown more TDs than Dak. Of those 75 QBs with as many, or more TD passes than Dak, here is the complete list of QBs who have thrown fewer interceptions.

Mahomes.

That concludes the list.

Ah, fun with multiple endpoints. The 150 and 25 numbers are selected specifically to create a club that has only one member.

150 passing TDs and 25 rushing TDs gives you the Dak Prescott club. Well, for maybe 2 more weeks until Josh Allen joins him.

If you went with 200 passing TDs and 15 rushing TDs, you'd have the Aaron Rodgers club.
If you go with 145 passing TDs and 30 rushing TDs, you'd have the Cam Newton, Daunte Culpepper and (soon) Josh Allen club.

The real problem with this is that it obscures what Dak has done. He's 6th all-time in combined passing and rushing TDs through 100 games. That really is impressive, but it also doesn't come off as bending over backwards to make him look better than Marino or Rodgers, who are ahead of him by more than 25.

I believe the point of this is being missed. It doesn't matter who is about to join this category. It's the fact Dak is there and others are not, and in this case of first 100 games, will never be there.

Having said that, this is another stat that is hollow for me. Great, Dak has a consistency.

Just win baby!
I do think who is about to join shows the recency effect. One-hundred games is a little over six years, so those stats as a combination may be a product of an evolving game where we are seeing more TD passes per year than we used to and more passing QBs who use their legs as well.

Good point. As the game advances and becomes more sophisticated, we see a rise in the number of TD's in the first 100 games by players now.
I don't believe this means a great deal, other than a comparison. But this isn't an end all indicator of who is better.

Dak's 63-36 as a starter with the same number of playoff wins as Romo.

NFL personnel universally ranked him in their top 10 and he's been one of the most efficient QBs in the league this year.

THE TEAM IS 2-0.

Did you hate Romo too? It's either personal with Dak or you just don't know football.

This was posted by someone a few weeks ago, but it'll be short lived. Like 3 weeks maybe lol.

Mahomes: 82 games, needs 1 more rushing TD
Allen: 79 games, needs 8 passing TDs
That's only passing TDs. What about 25 rushing TDs?

Let's find out...

Mahomes only has 12 rushing TDs throughout his career in 82 games. I seriously doubt he will reach 25 rushing TDs by his 100th game...

Allen looks like he will definitely match/beat Dak's NFL record since he already has 38 rushing TDs and only needs 8 passing TDs to reach 150 passing TDs with 21 games left before he completes his 100th game.

I think the point is that Dak certainly does not suck, is a very good quarterback but not an elite one. No matter what is said about Dak in here good or bad, hype or tripe, the Cowboys - particularly McCarthy, is sold on him. There is no denying that Mahomes and Allen are exceptionally talented but the team is offensively built around Dak.

Well yea I think the gap between Mahomes/Allen and Dak isn't nearly as significant as most.
