Thanks to @LocimusPrime for the link

Self-explanatory at how bad Dak is at reading the field and reacting..

Third and 4 or 5.. single coverage on the right. Dak staring in one direction, the left and goes to the guy three yards from the first down marker while the DB has already made a break to the ball because of Dak’s eyes the whole time...
And Dak throws way late too..

Linehan’s fault...

Why is a two yard route being called? That's the real problem.

To run an underneath for the DB that was playing way off.. he was clearly a checkdown or decoy

Why didn’t Dak look right to see how the coverage was shifted to his left pre-snap? Look how far off the other safety is playing on the other side as opposed to the left DB..

Didn’t see even a hint of the guy single covered at the bottom on the screen being open for even a second.
This is an incredibly poor example of poor Dak play.

You would be better off asking why we have the WR on the bottom of the screen in single coverage running a streak on 3rd and 5. Especially considering the pocket was being pushed back into Daks face all night.

Just look at that play. Send 1 WR on a streak and tell the others to just sit down and let the DBs, and LB sit on your route...no attempts by anyone to recognize the defensive coverage and work back towards the QB to give him someone to throw to. That play looks like a bunch of guys hoping someone else makes a play.

Nothing Dak can do. Another second and he would have gotten sacked and then you would be crying how he didn’t get the ball away.

The only option there is a 50-50 ball to Bryant.

Not sure this is the best example of Dak not seeing the field. Mosher tends to be ridiculously extreme with Prescott.

Looking at it again, I’m having second thoughts:

1. Look at the route the underneath WR Dak throws to runs and how he hesitates. What is he doing? Did Dak throw late?

2. Is the WR on the left that runs the deep route the decoy for the underneath of vice versa?

3. The WR on the right that Dak should have seen doesn’t seem to run full speed so maybe he was the last progression.

He should have just stepped up in the pocket and let the play develop.

So your saying there is pressure here? He didn’t have the whole interior pocket to step into? He has three seconds, look at the time.

If he looked right, he could have launched the ball easily..

Launched the ball into coverage?
At which point do you see a guy open to the right? The CB was face to face with the WR.
I see nothing to throw the bal to on the right.

If Dooley was upset and frustrated the onfield performance is how it manifested itself.

I’m curious what input wr coaches on other teams have when game planning.

If reports are wrong.

The play on the field is an indication of the lack of athleticism and on field smarts by the offense.

You mean on a go route basically getting one on one?

You call that coverage to the point you don’t throw it?

You think it’s more logical to throw it when the corner is giving a cushion specifically to cover the deep ball?

So corners give cushions to give up the long ball as opposed to the underneath and corners play tight to cover the long ball and not the underneath?

The thing about Dak that has me concerned the most is that he is hypersensitive to pressure. He showed this last year against the Giants and Vikings, and then many many games this season. This was his scouting report coming out of college also. It’s going to be something he will need to overcome.

With this particular play I see a play that just didn’t work. The defense sometimes wins a rep. I don’t like having every rep we lost being replayed and it looking like it doesn’t happen every week to every single QB in the league...it’s part of the game. When you are doing this it reeks of agenda and trying to prove a point more than genuine player analysis.

The WR on the right was either very slow or jogging.
The QB needs to realize down and distance and if he has a primary read on the left with more options then he may not make the throw on the left...especially because based on what we can see throwing that ball to the right looks like the worst possible throw available.

That was horrible I must agree. And that overthrow to Williams was as well.
