This was the textbook definition of "signature" game.

Dak passed the final test of "elite" quarterback. Elite quarterbacks save their best games for the postseason.

We were told about all the suffocating pressure Dak should be feeling. They seem to forget that pressure to perform has been routine since the day he started in the opener of his rookie season.

Dak lost that game. He then won the next 11.

This game doesn't guarantee repeats. It just confirms the possible.

The most important thing we learned was yes, it is possible

Great job Dak, Earlier today I posted that I’d like to see him play a Daniel Jones like playoff game stats and he did exactly that and even scored more TDs with no picks. great bounce back game. Well done!

now we get the chance to see it done against the Niners defense

He was great tonight but the only way through to a Super Bowl is to be equally good next week. Consistency. His final hurdle.

That's highly improbable. First because he was absolutely lights out, but more so because of the quality of defense he's about to go up against.

Our defense will also have their hands full trying to stop the 9ers ground attack. Next week will be a different ball game and we better hope our coaches have a sound game plan.

Do you root for Dak’s success each and every game?

When we are losing a game, do you still root for him to make plays or do you privately hope for failure in the hope that somehow he ends up leaving the team?

That’s the insidious nature of fandom.

There were *many* members of the board who were actually 100% fine with a loss because they want Dak to fail or they wanted McCarthy to get fired and make way for Payton.

What kind of fandom is that?

I don’t get it.
Personally, I’ve NEVER rooted against anyone wearing the star .. since 1965. I simply don’t understand today’s athlete who feels it’s OK to mail it in on occasion. Not necessarily Dak or any singular player, just the entire attitude of a generation. Back in the day, at this juncture, I’d have no reservation about what kind of effort was going to be expended. Today, I don’t know.

It’s kinda crazy I go back to the Texans game that last drive he just let the ball rip. Yeah his ints have gone up but I like this more aggressive dak. We take more shots down the field than ever.

He’s also back to using his legs.

Question is how do you get Dak into a rythm earlier in games. That’s where I think of instead of the quick passes Moore has to use some read option type stuff early. Pickup a key first or two and go from there

“Haters”, perhaps. Those of us who are driven mad by Dak’s inconsistency and who reasonably look for professional athletes to “do their job” .. are not.

THIS team can compete for a Championship, question is, WHICH team will take the field from week to week.
If you weren’t such a hater you’d know the nuances of the game and understand that the team hasn’t been consistent of late.

WTH .. You attempt to insult me and confirm my post. Try again.

Dak was sensational. Again, you get a glimpse of what he can be. Also, even my beautiful wife pointed out that... "Where has this play calling been" for the last 3-4 weeks? Kellen Moore had a play tonight for every critical 3rd down and in the red zone. Every play dialed up worked to perfection and I like the short passing game in the middle to give Dak an option. Almost looked like the old 49er west coast offense. 3-2-1 and Dak would release the ball.

There is the good Dak, and the bad Dak. bad Dak can come out for a few series, a quarter, a half or even a whole game like last week. But then their is the good Dak who seems to be in control. He makes good decisions, throws good passes, and run at just the right time to catch the other team off guard.

Tonight was had about 5 minutes of good Dak. When he is on the field this offense is unstoppable. If Good Dak played every week, the Cowboys would have gotten the bye and would be playing at home. If he shows up next week, the Cowboys are going to surprise a lot of people.
