Oddly enough I heard one I'd the media dudes saying it only counts if he does against the niners in the playoffs since we've beaten the niners in the regular season the last two times.

This will be an important game regardless of when it's played

The last two regular season meetings were in 2017 and 2020. Those 49ers teams were so much different than the group out there now.

I agree with you, this game will be a big measuring stick to see exactly where this Cowboys team is at. Time will tell if it will affect playoff positioning, it's a long season ahead still.

Dak and almost any QB can ball out with terrible teams. New England is horrible this season and so it was Tampa Bay with Brady last time. So, I don't know about the other 3 games probably he did very good vs good Teams, but to highlight and praise Dak's play on those 2 games (NE and TB) is childish and foolish.
