Dak doesn't have to throw more than high percentage passes and be careful with the ball when the defense has put three of the four teams into an early hole with so many turnovers for points.
I call that Cooper Rush Ball. He received holy heck for his lame arm and stats....but he didn't hurt the defense either. Hang on to the ball and let the defense destroy them!

The one play call I didn't like was when we had a 3rd and 1 at the 5 yard line and Dak took like a 10 yard sack. Dak probably should have thrown that away, but the play call itself was terrible.

It didn't hurt us because of the situation. But imagine if we needed a TD there. You can't have that play call. That one play call has changed how I judge our QB. Because he didn't make that call. They put him in a bad situation.

The fact of the matter is that Dak is a top 7-8 QB in the league, maybe higher than that if you look at the overall body of work. However the failures against SF in the playoffs (where he played awful) and also against the Rams as well before that are hurdles that he has to overcome to get credit for being a top QB.

Eli was not near as good as any top 10 QB during his time but he will be in the hall of fame because of how he played in the postseason.

Just the way it is!

I hope the redzone mess sorts itself out but I don't think that is on Dak - That's on McCarthy! They need to get Dak on the move in the red zone I think.

As far as I'm concerned, regular season is irrelevant when it comes to Dak.
We know what he can do in the regular season.
The post-season is when the real evaluations come into play.
There are enough bad teams in this league to where Dak can keep the illusion of being a decent QB.

going from a top scoring team with no 1 red zone efficiency to bottom is not balling out.FGs will not win you games against good teams, infact FGs wont even win you games when you are behind.

LOL.....Church of Dak trying to sell the fantasy that Dak Prescott is a competent QB. SF is going to destroy this team.
Are you implying that he was not a competent QB yesterday? Last year, if you attacked interceptions and decisions, you had plenty of ammo, but if you can’t admit when a guy plays a very good game, you lose all credibility.

He played well, aside from the continued struggles in the RZ — which is not entirely his fault.

We are going to need more points from the offense than what they have been contributing to this point, so hopefully they trend up

Huge test next week vs SF
Yea that TD pass Schoonmaker dropped didn’t help the red zone efficiency.

I hear you brother. It's sad how some Cowboys fans can't see the value in Dak. Hopefully, Dak balls out against San Francisco this next game, but we also need everyone else to show up (Oline, receivers, RBs and playcalling). If everyone does their job, Dak certainly can do his.
That's the key word. Dak did very well yesterday but he's been too inconsistent between games at times. Also, I have to go back and rewatch the game but it did look like our WRs were getting very good separation. This leads into the narrative that Dak can only hit open guys. Plus the lack of down the field shots is concerning. This isn't a good thing and only helps the 9ers. Now this isn't a "against Dak" comment...It's a concern about the offense in general. To win next week, it's going to take a total team effort...including MM having a great game plan.

A totally false narrative, perpetuated by dummies.

This one?

That's the one. And there have been several like that this season. Dak has had 3 or 4 TD passes dropped this season which would make the RZ look a lot better.

However, he is taking some bad sacks in the RZ and under/over-throwing the back of the end zone fades.
