I will never cheer for someone’s injury but this is the best possible outcome. It allows us to tank in good conscience and get a top 5 pick. This can be a 2015 type scenario where we have a top 5 pick with a top 10-15 roster

1) Real fans dont root for their team to tank
2) This front office is too inept to find good players in the first round

The only way they do that is if we have success with Rush. They’re paying Dak way too much to shut him down if he’s healthy to play. If Rush isn’t getting it done they may turn to Lance until Dak is ready. Would rather see Lance play in a lost season than Rush.

That may be the best-case scenario: Rush struggling leading to Lance playing. Despite what we paid our starting QB, we still need to see what Lance is. Now, what he is is likely bad, but this is when you either confirm that or find out something unexpected.

I don't like the players? This front office is one of the better drafting teams in the league. That's why they won 37 games the last 3 years.
