I can sort of relate...my Father has had two strokes, my mom has leukemia, and my sis is going to need her big bro around...all 3 are huge Cowboys fans(because of me..my dad likes the packers, mom couldnt care less, but you guys would be impressed at how lowd they cheer for my team), they ALWAYS root for my team because of me. Dak is now officially my favorite Dallas Cowboy. I was luckier than him- my father survived his battle with cancer in 2006. I cannot imagine the heartbreak this kid had to endure losing his mother; because what I went through with my dad was very, very tough as it was.

Prescott landing with the Cowboys was a gift. I am so excited he's going to be the face of this franchise for a very long time; because there's not a person better equipped to handle it- mentally as well as physically- than him.

2 things:

1. In my opinion, Kurt Warner holds the greatest story in NFL history. Going from a Home Depot associate to Superbowl winning QB is tough to beat. If the Cowboys push on and win it all with Dak as a rookie, I think that supplants the Warner tale.

2. How anyone who calls themselves a Cowboys fan can crap all over what this kid has done at every turn, just because their egos demand they be right about who should captain this ship, is beyond me. I don't wish them ill; I wish them wisdom.
