Dak Prescott is elite in the final two minutes of games

Dak, these past two years, is playing the best football he’s ever played.

That being said, it was the defense that HELD in red-zone territory on the drive before Dak threw that dud.
These two things can both be true.

Not sure why some people have such a hard time about it.

Even that alleged self-crowned wizardinhouston with his all-knowing supreme knowledge...can't seem to wrap his will head around it.

Your clouding your misunderstanding of horrible our defense has been.

Mountain Mahomes Defense regularly gives up less than 20 points a game.

Dak and Mahomes have similar career individual stats.

Winning football games is a team sport. KC has better Coaching and a dominant defense, but is Dak's fault.
Show us the "made the play in crunch time" stat.

Your love for Dak has clouded your responses. I'm not talking about defense. Dak is ok until it comes down to actually scoring under 2 minutes. He usually chokes. Like we just saw this week. Like we saw against the Eagles a few years ago. Same situation. It doesn't matter how good you are under two minutes if you can't finish. Defense has nothing to do with it.
In the last two minutes, he brought the team from inside the 5-yard line all the way down to the opposing 5. His coach told him to throw the ball away,

how is that choking?

They said if he hit his back foot, we didn’t have a timeout, but your bias might overlook how quickly he got the ball downfield, putting us in scoring position and tying the game. That’s clutch, not choking.

You’d blame Dak if he threw two passes that bounced off Pickens’ hands into an interception, fell incomplete and ran out the clock, or turned into a pick-six.

Maybe the defender was baiting George, who, by the way, pushed off and wasn’t open when Dak hit his back foot. By the time he decided to throw it out of bounds, George had just pushed off and gotten open. But what if he completed the pass and the ref flagged George for offensive pass interference? Don’t say it can’t happen; George gets plenty of those calls.

Everyone would’ve been quick to blame the coach and quarterback for poor clock management and missing the chance to tie the game with 7 seconds left, but now the focus is on the bad special teams.

That terrible kick gave the opponent a shorter field, one easy open pass, and no pressure, no tipped field goal like the one blocked against us earlier in the game. Where were those plays in the final seconds?

The defense had been struggling all game except for a few moments, and giving up 31 points to the Dolphins isn’t choking, it’s just bad defense. Special teams and defense should’ve made sure we were never in that position to begin with.

The loss came from both units failing, but your dislike for Dak is clouding your judgment. The coach told him to throw it away because if he hadn’t completed the pass and set up the field goal, people would’ve blamed him for that too.

That’s what haters do. You’re clouded and don’t see that with 31 points, winning the game should have been easy.

That field goal gave them a chance to go into overtime, which they should have, but the defense choked and the special teams performed poorly.

That loss isn’t on Prescott; they were in position to win because of him. The last two minutes were eaten up by a solid long drive and a field goal that tied the game, meaning he didn’t choke it away.

It’s ironic that he executed a perfect two-minute drive to tie the game, yet you see that as choking, which shows bias.

Our judgment isn’t clouded, we’ve watched a quarterback play great all year and last year, only to have every little thing nitpicked. You blame him for a loss that had nothing to do with his performance. Prescott should have led to 12 wins last season with the way he played, and this year they should be undefeated, but other factors got in the way, including a poor fan base.

Calling that choking is ridiculous; the great last drive tied the game, while what happened afterward, the defense struggling most of the game, blocked field goal, penalties, and fumbles, was actual choking. Prescott made up for all of that and tied the game.

Man just wait until you realize what the end of the 2nd half is
The end of the 2nd half is when there are 14 seconds left in a wild card game, and your QB isn't able to hand it to the right person on the field. AR freaked out on MM for wasting time on the sidelines last night, and lost his mind. If Schotty indeed called the out of bounds call, and Dak knew it was the wrong call then he should have just done what everybody else would have. You telling me Aaron would have done that? I can't stand AR, but do you also think he did all he could do to win the game last night? After all, he brought them back from 2 TD's down, right? But....you know what he did in OT.

C;mon man, be better, I know you are

Washington just beat the reigning Superbowl champions. I guess bad teams do that quite often huh.

We also came back from 21 points down to beat the previous reigning Superbowl champion Philadelphia Eagles and we had a 32nd ranked defense on top of a 21st ranked offensive line at the time.

Let me guess.... the Eagles were a reigning Superbowl champion "bad team" right? That's got to be the only explanation im sure. This is too easy, I can come up with even more "bad teams" that we did this to that mysteriously had winning records and/or made the playoffs.
You should probably come up with more than last years one impressive come back win over the Eagles to make you're point.

Not sure about that. See above post.

"You play to tie the game" - Schotty

"You play to tie the game" - Schotty
So they played well enough to win the game all game but when it came down to the final seven seconds yes you have to tie the game gives you a better shot of winning they would have lost that game if they threw that ball and it got tipped and intercepted or fell to the ground and you all would have been screaming like little girls just like you're doing now like throwing A tantrum and blaming something else that wasn't to blame they didn't purposely drive down the field to score a field goal only but they got down there and gave their team a second chance to win the game and their defensive special teams choked..

I hate to break it to you You all would have been all over them had that been an errant pass a tip ball or George Pickens just hit him in the chest we seen that against the Lions turn to an interception things can happen like that they were playing it safe They said if it's there on your back foot throw it if not throw it away let's get the game tied and let's go into overtime the fact that it never made it to overtime bad defense bad special teams and you keep harping on this it is why I don't talk to you a lot you all have a very flawed way to look at football they never would have been in position to win had it not been for Schottenheimer and Prescott they would have never even been in this damn game We lost to the Ravens lopsided the last time we played them but this time we were in the game all the way down to 7 seconds and the defense especially lost and you're blaming Prescott you're blaming Schottenheimer it's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard so why don't you go fire kite in Thunderstorms...BYE

He thinks nobody said Dak is better than Troy. There's a 28 page thread about it. Did he REALLY miss it?
I was replying to him about his comment about Dak and the final 2 mins of games and pointed to 2 instances where he failed....nothing about Romo who wasn't mentioned in this thread? These threads can never stay on topic it seems if this is the case

It was on topic becaus eyou said "you're better than that".

Haven’t there been several objective sources the last few days showing that Dak has been exceedingly successful in the final minutes of games?

lol...oh, really? I know how many SB's Mahomes has, how many does Dak have?

No. There has been one source that documents any drive at any time in the 4th quarter which results in taking the lead as a game winning drive.

You add the "final minutes of the game" context all by yourself.

There is one objective source that does document a struggle in the last minutes of the game. It is last week's game tape.
