Has any head coach said much negative football stuff about a QB for the opposing team after losing a close game? Like, “yeah he’s going nowhere-our team just sucks this season.” Lol

Dak is pretty okay overall. Definitely good enough to win several games in the regular season. Needs tons of help from a dominant team to beat the best teams. Not unlike the bulk of QB’s not in the top 2-4 QBs.

If I was the GM/owner, I would build a team and continuously look for cheap deals with a very good rookie or career backup. Build up both lines of scrimmage, augment with rookie running backs, maybe one marquee wide receiver, one marquee cornerback, and good coaching.

I don’t remember too many people saying Cooper Rush is one of the best quarterbacks…

Keep Dak. The only logical thing to do.

Not dishing on Dak here but the logical thing for every team to do is keep drafting QB's and trying to develop them just because of the price tag of that 2nd contract and the value of a very good QB if you could develop and trade.

I think you people are not understanding what Lovie is saying. He is saying that "Dak is one of the best QBs in our game"
Our game. As in the game the Texans and Cowboys just played.

And I agree with him on that statement. Dak is at LEAST a Top 3 or 4 QB in the stadium in that Cowboys Texans game.

Yeah I had not heard it much at all before last year. I think maybe it is the advent of all of these former player announcers coming on the scene with all the networks.

That said, I do not watch any NFL Network, ESPN or any of those other shows during the week so maybe it has been around a lot longer than I realize.

He's not playing like a Top 10 QB right now.

And that's all that matters. No one should care where he's ranked amongst QBs if as we get through the end of the season and into the playoffs and he plays like he did yesterday.

Both 49ers and Eagles will 100% take advantage of his bonehead plays he's been making this season. I don't like how Moore and Prescott feel he has Mahomes arm, Prescott is a much better QB when he's relying on the run and taking what the defense is giving him.

Dak is going to get his opportunity to prove he's as great as some claim he is. The 49ers dismantled the Bucs today 35-7 with Purdy as their QB. It's not a great Bucs team but yet it still has Brady who's never lost against the Cowboys. There's a high likelihood that Cowboys will have to go to Tampa in the first round of the playoffs. Dak better prove his worth there. No excuses Dak has to perform well.

Something tells me we are going to be playing Atlanta or Carolina.

Yep. Run, play action, even get him on the move. That should be our bread and butter. Expecting him to sit back there and pick defenses apart like Mahomes or Rodgers in his prime is silly.

He takes risks with balls that he shouldn't. In the Colts game, on the Gallup/Gilmore interception. People said it wasn't Dak's fault - Gallup fell, Gilmore interfered, etc. Regardless, anyone watching that play saw Gilmore BLANKETED on Gallup. Throwing to that spot was just a bad decision.

Blanketed or not….I trust Gallup and Lamb to catch everything their way even if they are blanketed. Now double covered is one thing. But tight coverage should not stop Dak from throwing to those guys.
